TEFL: Terrifically Easy Fun Learning

The way World TESOL Academy presented the online course was an incredible introduction to the world of teaching English. I loved the refresher of vocabulary and by the end I feel comfortable enough to run my own classes and make them fun!
The exercises included with each step were a great way to practice and I found the videos of practical lessons extremely valuable.
I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to begin their journey into TESOL/TEFL. I'm excited by the prospect of a job being able to take me abroad and I can't wait to begin applying.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would have spent less time worrying I'd fail the exam! The end of lesson quizzes more than prepared me for the exam.

a swift qualification

I highly recommend this course. I needed something urgently and affordable. It can be done at your own pace, which is great - some days I did half a module; other days I could do 2 modules. Nothing holds you back to do the next lesson - you don't have to wait for external feedback; or assignments to be corrected. It feels like I did it in less than 120 hours. I loved it; it is concise and yet covers all bases - from basics to young learners to online teaching and demo classes for prospective employers. I feel ready and excited to teach!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Get the program done to feel more confident before teaching - It builds confidence!
Pros
  • the lessons are bite-sized; keeping motivation high
  • no assignments, you can complete it independently
  • very affordable
Cons
  • no assignments to test if you can put theory into practice

A holistic course

I am grateful to have had the TESOL experience. I always thought I intuitively knew what was the right thing to do when it comes to teaching. Thanks to this course, I was able to deepen my understanding and really hone in on how to apply it in my real-life teaching experience. While taking the course, I landed my first gig as a language instructor. This experience allowed me to drill down through cases that would work or wouldn't work, depending on each student or class. It also helped me approach teaching my mom in a more effective and levelheaded way, considering her immigrant experience. Delighted to be now equipped with the tools to become a more proficient teacher. I had to take breaks from the course due to health issues, but all in all, the experience was smooth sailing. Ready to create an impactful learning environment and excited to kick off my teaching journey, I am thankful for this valuable opportunity. Thanks a bunch, TESOL!

Unveiling My TESL/TEFL Online Course Journey: A Personal and Honest Review

I recently completed a TESL/TEFL online course, and my 20-day journey was nothing short of transformative. As you navigate through potential programs, here are insights that may guide your decision-making process:

The standout feature of this program was its personalized approach. Despite the virtual setting, the instructors were incredibly responsive and went the extra mile to assist during challenging moments. One particular staff member provided timely and invaluable support, making the learning experience more enriching.

While the program's flexibility and content were commendable, there were areas that could be improved. The feedback loop for assignments, though constructive, could have been more prompt. Additionally, a more comprehensive resource library would enhance the overall learning journey. These are minor aspects that, if addressed, could significantly elevate the program.

Despite the constructive criticism, my overall experience was positive. The program might not be a one-size-fits-all, but understanding my learning style and preferences allowed me to navigate it effectively. It's crucial to approach any program with realistic expectations and a willingness to adapt.

But To-The-Point: In essence, my TESL/TEFL online course provided a solid foundation for teaching English. The personal touch from instructors and the adaptable curriculum were highlights. As you consider this program, prioritize your needs and preferences, and don't hesitate to seek support when needed.

In conclusion, my succinct yet substantial review aims to offer a glimpse into the TESL/TEFL online course experience. I encourage future educators to embrace the journey, recognizing that each program has its unique strengths and areas for improvement. Best of luck in your teaching endeavors!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
Reflecting on my TESL/TEFL online course experience, if given the opportunity to go through it again, one aspect I would consider changing is diversifying my engagement with fellow participants. While the online nature of the course provided flexibility, actively seeking more collaborative opportunities or initiating group discussions could have further enriched the communal aspect of the learning experience. Building stronger connections with peers and sharing insights on a more interactive level would have added an extra layer of depth to the overall journey.
Pros
  • Flexible Learning Structure.
  • Responsive and Supportive Instructors.
  • Comprehensive Curriculum with Real-World Application.
Cons
  • Limited Diversity in Assessment Methods.
  • Limited Interactivity in Learning.
  • Resource Library Scope.

TESOL 120 hours certificate

The learning content for TESOL 120-hours certificate is divided into modules.

Some modules visual contents are animated, and the instructions are easy to follow.
There will be mini quizzes to help consolidate or recall how much I know about the topic, and these mini quizzes helped me prepared for the final exam well.

I have prior ESL teaching experience which helped me study and complete the modules in just two weeks time. I also appointed an accountability partner to help me beat procrastination.

I wish you all the best in your learning!

Feedback on 120-hour Tesol learning course

The course was really enjoyable. What I like most was the small tips in each lesson - I found them really helpful for my classes.
What I think could be more valuable for the lesson is to give some more case studies on how to motivate students in class, especially for classes that have a mix of intrinsic and extrinsic students. Some students often act very restless in class despite the motivation the teachers have done to cheer them up, and they would need to be looked after for nearly every moment in class; which then the teachers ending up not giving equal attention to other students.

World Tesol Academy Review

World Tesol Academy gave me the basic foundation I need to help with my teaching career. I am already a teacher teaching English in a foreign country and learned certain skills by trial andd error. This program, however, affirmed me of what I am already doing, gave clarity on why I teach a certain way, and introduced me to new tools to further improve my skills. I strongly encourage to take this course first before you begin your teaching journey. While you can learn just from experience, this course can help you prepare what to expect ahead.
