A Practical and Confidence-Boosting TESOL Experience

This TESOL/TEFL program was a highly valuable and practical learning experience for me, especially as someone who is currently teaching English online. The content was well-structured and covered essential topics such as lesson planning, classroom management, teaching techniques, and online teaching strategies. I particularly appreciated how the course balanced theory with practical application, making it easier to understand how to implement the strategies in real teaching situations.

One of the highlights for me was learning about dynamic teaching approaches like Concept Checking Questions (CCQs), TPR, and modeling. These techniques helped me become more confident in checking student understanding and keeping lessons engaging. The module on teaching online was also very relevant, as it provided clear guidance on equipment, classroom setup, and how to maintain student motivation in a virtual environment.

The platform was user-friendly and easy to navigate, which made studying convenient. While the support was generally helpful, faster responses in some cases would make the experience even better.

Overall, I would highly recommend this program to aspiring and current ESL teachers. It is especially useful for those who want to teach online or improve their teaching techniques.

  • Practical teaching techniques you can apply immediately
  • Clear and well-organized modules
  • Strong focus on online teaching skills
Cons
  • Limited interaction with instructors

Basic English and Lesson Planning

I decided to take this course as it is a prerequisite for an English teaching job in South Korea. I’ve only ever learnt languages through pattern/association so having the opportunity to break down and scrutinise the function of each word was pretty eye-opening. I would highly recommend this course to get the basics down. I also found that a lot of lesson planning reminded me of my own school days and how my teachers had prepared lessons for me to learn. Highly recommend this course to people of all ages but especially young students.

Nice program

I recently completed my TESOL certification through this program, and I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking to enter the world of English language teaching. From the very beginning, the curriculum was both rigorous and incredibly practical, bridging the gap between theoretical linguistics and real-world classroom management.

The modules on lesson planning and student engagement were particularly transformative; they gave me a toolkit of diverse strategies to accommodate various learning styles and proficiency levels. What truly set this course apart, however, was the quality of the feedback. The instructors were supportive yet thorough, ensuring that I felt confident and prepared to lead a classroom of my own. I now feel equipped with the pedagogical foundation and the cultural sensitivity needed to teach abroad or online. This wasn't just a certification process; it was a professional evolution that has opened so many doors for my future career.

Thank you

I really enjoyed this easy to follow course. I think it is a very good place to start, if you want to teach English, in-person or online. I enjoyed reviewing the English language in detail. And all the tips on setting up a class room in-person or online. The tips on teaching English online are very helpful, and give me confidence that in the near future, I will hopefully be teaching my first class of students.

I can really recommend it. Thank you very much for the informative experience.
Thanks.

Excellent Course

This is a well-structured course that goes through the basics of ESL teaching. Even though I have been teaching English for two decades now, I have found this to be a good refresher course. It does not only give a review of fundamental concepts and principles of English language and learning, but also offer practical tips for contextualizing classroom learning in an online or a face-to-face setting. I find it useful both for new and experienced teachers. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a certification in ESL teaching.

Importance of TESOL

What I love about this course is its importance in helping me gain employment to teach English in other foreign non-English speaking countries.

it will also help me to explore my love for online/remote jobs, it is also an avenue to explore my adventure spirit by going to different countries to teach English Language while seeing the beautiful cities in the process.

I would recommend World TESOL Academy to both family and friends because it is recognized better than other similar courses out there.

Great and very complete course!

This course was really engaging with lots of beautiful examples, strategies and practical tools for us teachers that don’t have prior formation in teaching. It covers in a very succinct manner the main topic required to teach English. Starting with grammar explanations, types of words, tenses, sentence structure, and continuing with strategies to teach speech, listening, reading, writing and vocabulary. To my surprise, it also has a very rich module on class management, VARK model, class rules and in general, how to face the challenges of being a teacher of a wide variety of ages. As well, I believe the online teaching module is very valuable and opens other doors that I hadn’t contemplated. I fully recommend it.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
I noticed that I too have a lot to learn about English.
Pros
  • You have tutors to help you
  • It is very practical

TEFL course 120 hrs 2026

This is a very accessible and easy to follow course that will equip you with all the necessary skills to teach English as a Foreign Language in real life, offline or online, with consideration for a variety of target groups and settings (age, level, culture, public or private schools). It is designed in a rather practical manner and not too lengthy. It is clearly divided in digestible units and it encourages progress. The quizzes at the end of each unit are very helpful to review contents and retain information.

What would you improve about this program?
Perhaps even more practical examples of lesson plans, tests, and videos or real classes showing different techniques.
Pros
  • easily formulated
  • end of unit quizzes
