I didn’t start my journey as a teacher in the usual way. My background is in Japanese literature, not education, and even though I was confident in my English, I often found myself unsure about how to actually teach it. I learned bits and pieces through experience, standing in front of students, trying different approaches—but something always felt missing. I knew the language, but I wanted to understand the foundation behind teaching it.

I had a seemingly smooth experience the course was easy to navigate the course information was clear and easy to understand, the online chat is an amazing feature as you can request for assistance almost immediately and your work barely get held up, I learnt a lot of information that we as native English speakers sometimes take for granted. I would highly recommend this course to peers or to anyone who is interested in learning and or teaching English, be it for online teaching or even going to teach abroad.

It helped solidify things I already had experience with as well as give me new ideas and knowledge. The online teaching part felt irrelevant to me but I see why it could be useful for others and is a good addition to an otherwise good course. Precise and to the point with short tests at the end of each module which really helped for the final test.

I recently completed this course and found it to be both practical and highly relevant to real classroom teaching. The course provided a clear and well-structured overview of essential teaching concepts, including lesson planning, classroom management, and effective teaching methodologies such as PPP, TTT, and TBL.

What I appreciated most was how the content balanced theory with practical application. The examples and scenarios helped me reflect on my own teaching experience, and I was able to immediately connect the material to my work teaching both adults and young learners.

I think this course was well put together, easy to complete, and worth the cost. I come from a BEd background and was worried that I would just be reading through information I already know, but I was pleasantly surprised. I learnt the most during the grammar modules and appreciated the practical advice for ESL lesson planning. The module on teaching online was also very informative.
The learning platform is very self-explanatory and easy to use; it hardly ever logged me out, which I appreciated.

Everything is presented in a clear, well-structured, and convenient interface, and it all comes at a very reasonable price. I’m planning to continue and upgrade to the Level 5 TESOL diploma, though I do wish it were a bit more affordable.
