Extremely satisfied with this course as it provides great insights and in depth knowledge needed to teach English. It includes materials that can help you teach people of all ages and covers a wide range of topics essential for real life scenarios. It also contains the right difficlty level for the examinations so that it does not discourage non natives as well. I signed up for the 120-hour TESOL course with fairly modest expectations — I mostly needed an accredited certificate to apply for teaching jobs abroad. It turned out to be the part of my preparation I now recommend first.
The course is broken into short, focused lessons with a quiz at the end of each block. The opening module is refreshingly practical: it walks you through what the ESL industry actually looks like.
The grammar sections are the heart of the course, and they're thorough. Word classes, verb types, affixes, punctuation, and a full pass through all twelve tenses — each with a recap and a quiz. I found these modules very interesting and informative.
For anyone about to send out their first applications abroad: this is the right place to begin.

This course is taken to upgrade my value as a personal English tutor in Indonesia. I have got several freelance teaching experiences, so some parts of the lessons are pretty familiar. However, having not attend an 'educational focused' major, I received several novel ideas and terms that I wasn't familiar with before.

One part that is especially helpful is the fourth module, with details on how to teach English skills to beginner and advanced classes. This has given me extra insights on how I should handle my student groups. However, I believe it would be better had there been more examples (videos) on advanced classes or teenager classes, as I noticed most of the provided ones are for beginners and little kids.

Another thing that I appreciate is the equipment suggestions (the headset and webcam), with the specification and links to buy them. I think most people are not familiar with and might be overwhelmed by the sheer number of options and specifications, so those suggestions are a good starting point for new teachers.

Lastly, the mini quizzes are also a nice touch, giving me a sense of how much I understand the module. I even got a little competitive with myself and resat all that got less than 100%. Furthermore, it reduces my anxiety regarding the final test as I've known how it would look like.

Overall, it is a good experience. I would 10/10 recommend this to my friends who are planning to be or already are ESL teachers.
