You can tell the teachers have years of experience. Classes are very straightforward. The overall environment is very relaxed. Most of the classes are in the morning. I wish they had classes in the evening as well. The campus in Wudaokou offers more classes and several levels. The campus in Wanjing sadly mostly offers classes in higher level. This is something I hope they can offer in the future! Having a few evening classes would be great as well!
They use several types of textbooks. The style of the lessons depends a lot on the books and the teaching style of the teachers. I would recommend going to class everyday to get the hang of it when you start studying Chinese . It helps with getting the "feel" of the language. The tuition fee is not too high either. I did not live in an accommodation provided by GVS (hence the 3/5), because I already live in Beijing. I can tell my Chinese has gotten better in under 4 weeks only. I would recommemd GVS to students who e.g. work here and want to learn Chinese for fun or who'd like to learn as a hobby. I had a great time here!

I really enjoyed the one-on-one lessons. The teacher was patient, professional, and always explained things clearly. The lessons were tailored to my level, so I felt comfortable speaking Chinese and asking questions. I appreciated the teacher’s detailed corrections of my pronunciation and grammar, which helped me improve quickly. The classes were well organized, engaging, and very effective. I had a great time studying here. I tried several different course types and I recommended this school to all my friends. The teachers are very professional and will adjust to your level of Chinese. Everyone I met, including myself, really enjoyed the experience with Global Village School.

The location is excellent, situated close to all the universities, making it very convenient and accessible. The metro is also just 10 minutes away.

I studied Chinese as my major, but I often forgot what I learned because I didn’t have many opportunities to speak Chinese. As a result, it was difficult for me to maintain and improve my Chinese skills.

Fortunately, I got the chance to learn Chinese in China with students from many different countries. I was very happy to study Chinese in a more professional environment.

If I have the opportunity to study here again, I would like to continue improving my Chinese. I worked hard to build a strong foundation as a beginner, and I want to keep progressing even more than before.

Well managed center, they have multiple courses for different Chinese levels. Our teacher was professional, knowledgeable, and engaging. Recommended.

Learning at the Global Village School was an amazing time! Even though we were only there for a short period, the staff and teacher designed the curriculum so that our goals could be fully met. They were also easily able to cater to our level, using both traditional textbook curriculum and innovative ways to teach us the content so we would not be bored, but excited to learn. I didn’t think I would enjoy these classes as much as I did, I really felt a change in my mandarin confidence and can much better communicate with those around me. The school is clean with all the necessary amenities. There is food nearby as well which is a bonus.

I came to China because I had a month of free time.

I wanted to take Chinese classes just for a month, but it was hard to find an academy that allowed such a short-term registration. Fortunately, Global Village School offered flexible scheduling . I could choose the days and times that suited me, and if I couldn’t attend a class due to other commitments, I could use a vacation request to make it up later. This was one of the school’s biggest advantages.

The school was large, well-established, and operated under a systematic structure. Of course, the quality of the classes was also very high. The teacher encouraged every student to participate and passionately explained even the smallest questions.

I enjoyed class. I made some friends and also improved my Chinese a lot. I really appreciate this school. What I was most impressed by was how kind and patient the teachers were. They always explained things clearly and encouraged us to speak more in class. The lessons were well-organized, and the topics were interesting and practical for daily life. I also liked the small class size, which made it easy to ask questions and get feedback. The school organized some cultural activities, like calligraphy and cooking classes, which helped me learn more about Chinese culture. I would definitely recommend this program to anyone who wants to study Chinese seriously and make new international friends. I have been taking an Intermediate Speaking Course with Global Village for over a month and am impressed with the quality and affordability of the lessons. During my class we follow a book with reading and speaking practice, and the teacher takes time to explain every concept and answer the students questions. She also encourages us to converse about other topics and teaches us vocabulary about the specific topics we are interested in, whicg makes the lessons feel more personal and useful for everyday life.
