I have been enrolled with this school since I arrived to China to work. My Mandarin level was literally zero, but class after class I feel that I am improving and becoming more independent in my daily life in China.

Besides, my tutors are amazing, supportive and also make this learning process a very good experience. I don’t think I could ask for more.

Highly recommend it, to initiate or continue your study of this beautiful language. Although it’s a little pricey, I found it very worth for anybody willing to dedicate time.

My experience at That's Manadarin has been really good. My teacher is very nice, motivating and takes the time to explain things. The platform they use is easy and it is interactive, so you are not just listening, but you can see videos on this platform, there is a whiteboard where the teacher makes notes and all of it is being saved on the platform, so you can return to it later and review your work. Also, the staff is friendly and what I like is the flexibility and reliability. I would highly recommend this school!

The Chinese school That’s Mandarin is the best in Shanghai based on my experience. Very friendly and modern environment, professional and supportive teachers, super helpful stuff! The school has it’s own teaching platform which is very convenient and user friendly. The bonus is the amazing terrace with a city view, complementary coffee, tea. And also the school regularly throws theme events/parties, where you can practice speaking Chinese, have much fun as well as making new friends!

The course at That’s Mandarin has been incredibly helpful to acquire basic Mandarin. It has made settling into Beijing so much easier. The course content is extremely relevant for day-to-day life and one can start using it from the very first days of starting the class. The teachers are friendly, dedicated and pay close attention to pedagogical methods that enable more effective learning. The overall environment is friendly and helpful, and the administration staff are incredibly responsive. Highly recommend it!

I am really happy with choosing the 1on1 program and especially with my teacher Wo laoshi! I have one lesson on four days a week with her and she is able to keep me motivated to learn more, to see were I am struggling and also to make each lesson interesting and fun. I already improved a lot in just two months. It is also a great way to get to know new people because of the events they are hosting. Overall I can highly recommend this program and also the language school That’s Mandarin in general.

I would recommend this app to anyone who is looking for a quick and easy way to learn mandarin. There are so many workouts to choose from. It’s impossible to get bored. They eliminate any excuses because there are lessons workout for all levels, all time frames, no equipment options, small space options. I truly love this app and have had several friends join as well.

Very well structured Programm with good platform preparing for HSK examine. In addition Jia Laoshi is a very good teacher, remembering details of students and adjusts way of learning and classes to students demands and needs. Jia Laoshi is very caring, nice and funny who understands how I can learn best and accordingly adapted the program to my needs and learning progress. Many thanks for her engagement, enjoying the learning journey a lot with her. Management of expectations to students shall be calibrated to avoid frustration on both ends.

I have been studying online with the school for around 6 months now, as I live and work in China and wanted to develop my understanding.

I have used online lessons and in-person classes for my study of French and Italian over the years, and my teacher (Wang Laoshi) and the school are easily the one I would most recommend. Lesson times are very flexible, and the online platform adds all new words and resources to your revision section of the website, along with listening, reading and writing activities to help revise. I have been especially impressed with the quality of teaching which is always engaging and supportive, with a wide range of different activities offered.

That's Mandarin is a great school that allows you to learn in person or online! The teachers are friendly and highly qualified. The lessons can be changed to suit your needs, or you can follow along with HSK based lessons. Time passes quickly when you're having fun. I have done both solo and group classes, in person and online.
