I have been trying to learn Chinese for a very long time and have had trouble grasping the concepts as I constantly feel they don't stick. Most online classes tend to be freeform and unstructured, which can be a little confusing in gauging your self-perceived grasp of the language. NiHao Cafe is excellent. I can see a substantial improvement in the way my brain is thinking in Chinese and am able to actively communicate with other Chinese-language speakers in the real world. The classes are very structured and of high quality, while the pace of the material is easy (and importantly fun) to consume. My teacher William has been fantastic and it feels like we are both exploring the lesson together. Chinese is not an easy language (in my view) to learn, but if you are on the fence of where to start, NiHao Cafe is a solid choice.

The program is really good. Very organizated. I learned a lot in two months now I can understand chinese reading and pinyin. My teacher sends me exercises, homework where I can work more and study more. The more I get, the more I understand better the concept to understand chinese. When I make my homework in writing my teacher always corrects my grammar, so I can improve more my writing.
The materials and the classes are very good. I'm really satisfied and happy to be in That's mandarin. I'll continue studying Thats mandarin.

Learning mandarin its like a roller coaster which is exciting, fun, tense and in the end interesting and useful in daily life. The teacher and staff are nice and friendly too, they accommodate us, and our teacher is funny and smart. I would say I can recommend this to other students who are interested in learning mandarin for some individual purposes. The place is nice and clean too, there are free drinks for student during there break hour, a nice terrace to review and chat with classmates, and they can accommodate the classes hour depending the time and day you want.

I've been studying Chinese through online classes to improve my language skills, and I only have good things to say about That'smandarin. The teachers are professional and friendly and give me helpful feedback every lesson. I always feel motivated and happy whenever I have classes with my teacher.
They have access to several materials， ranging from coursebooks to their own personalized content, topics are all different, from business to culture, classes are never dull, and you can always learn new things about the culture.

I am pleased with using Nihaocafe (That's Mandarin) courses online. It was convenient for me to participate in high-quality private Chinese language lessons online. The program was flexible, offered a good incentive for purchasing in bulk, and the content was good. The platform is still being developed, so there are hiccups now and then. At first, this really frustrated me, but the team gave me alternative technical approaches to help deal with the technical issues of the platform. When there was an issue, they'd work together to contact IT to let them know about the circumstances.

For the classes themselves, I'd HIGHLY recommend them. I like that I can ask for a custom lesson. I also enjoy the Whiteboard portion of the platform as I can ask my instructor how to say things, so they're understandable to others. I'm motivated by my teacher and the program overall, and it's nice to have all the information right there on the platform (how many classes I bought, how many remaining, etc).

Recommendations for the future of the company: Offer included books to students to support their learning. Allow an upload area of possible completed written homework for marking/feedback. Find applications (APPs) with flashcard desks (like Anki), and recommend them with That's Mandarin (TM) vocabulary card decks for review/front-loading of vocabulary.

Chinese is a very difficult language to learn, but the methodology means that you build up your knowledge and understanding very quickly. For the first time, I feel confident when speaking to Chinese people, and it has made life in China a lot easier. I am no longer scared of saying something, because I now feel that I can answer what is being said. The extra activities that are run, such as mah jong or making moon cakes, adds to your understanding of Chinese culture. All the teachers are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The teachers all understand the difficulties that foreigners face when learning Chinese.

I thought learning Mandarin would be so boring but it turned out to be so fun! I enrolled in the 1 on 1 online teaching. My teacher is very patient and nice. Their platform is easy to use, you can review your past lessons, some exercises to work on and videos to practice with. Looking forward to finishing levels 2 and 3 successfully. I will try to take the HSK exam after. They offer guidance when taking HSK. They also organize some activities like mahjong night. It’s really fun to learn here in That’s Mandarin.

My working schedule means that most regular class times are not possible for me. I opted for 1-to-1 classes and so far I am very happy with my choice, my teacher tailors the lesson to my level and teaches me useful/practical Chinese that I can use in daily life. My teacher allows me to contribute to the lesson direction and creates an environment where I feel confident to try speak whilst being challenged to retain and use the new content.

The homework is practical and makes use of the content, in the short while that I have been studying here I have felt my Chinese understanding improve considerably as well as my speaking confidence.

She is a really friendly teacher, very patient and supportive, the best teacher I have had for Chinese. I like the content and she makes learning Chinese fun! I use many resources that I am finding useful with my university course. When I ask to do something specific she delivers which is great. I have been with other Chinese learning companies but this one is the best by far ! I would really recommend this platform for anyone wanting to learn good Chinese. The prices are also reasonable. Thank you !
