I have studied Chinese for five years. I used to study at Tsinghua University. After working, I felt that my Chinese still needs to be improved. So I chose this school. I think my Chinese expression ability is improving. I mainly study news. The teacher will find me a lot of the latest news, which is so awesome! In class, the teacher will ask me to express it. In the beginning, I said it simply. The teacher will tell me that the words I used are too simple and can be expressed in more advanced words. This is very useful for me! Recommend!

Excellent, kind teacher who works you very hard but knows when to let up and let the learning consolidate. Very encouraging and fun instructor but strict on pronunciation and correctness. Platform extremely well done with flashcards, great videos, all kinds of learning tools. Click on any character for a definition and pronuciation. It takes all the notes for you and keeps them on your web page and then has excellent review of the class and practice reading and writing and listening exercises to prepare for the next lesson. The teacher also releases preview for the next lesson, which helps. People in the front office also helpful.

I have been taking online classes at That’s Mandarin for a year and a half, and I can’t say enough good things about the program. My teacher is patient and moves me through the curriculum at an appropriate pace for me, providing plenty of feedback and reports on my progress. I especially appreciate the ability to speak in Mandarin with her about my day and week, so that I get more conversational practice during each lesson. She can correct my pronunciation and grammar, which I appreciate. The Nihao Cafe online platform is perfect because it allows you to access all of your past lessons and rewatch videos at varying speeds and with a variety of subtitles (hanzi, pinyin, English, or more than one of those at the same time). I also love the quizzing feature to review each unit. The people who work for That’s Mandarin always respond to my emails in a timely and helpful manner, and I am delighted to be a student of this program.

I had a very friendly and empathetic teacher, and I liked having class with her. I felt I had the time to study and repeat the exercises with her together without feeling pressured too much. Before I had the HSK exam, she carefully prepared with me all the relevant things and supported me in that process. The study platform had sometimes some issues and was not very comfortable to use. They could improve it. Also, my class hours were transferred from another school and I had to use them in a limited time.

I have been studying Chinese in that's Mandarin for about one and half year. I have taken both online and offline classes. The school environment is very good, providing free coffee and tea. The course is very interesting, with video, audio and other learning materials. The teachers are also very professional, explaining grammar and vocabulary clearly, and practicing Chinese according to the actual situation of life, which is very efficient. My listening, speaking and Chinese characters have improved very fast. I think it is very interesting to learn Chinese characters. The composition of Chinese characters is very logical. After knowing the rules of Chinese characters, I can even guess the pronunciation and meaning of the unfamiliar character. Now, there is no big problem in some daily life dialogues. Because some of my family members are Chinese, I need to communicate with them in Chinese. Now my family members feel that my Chinese has made great progress, and life in Shanghai has become more and more convenient. Sometimes the teacher will introduce some interesting Chinese culture, which I am very interested in and like.

I've been studying Chinese for over two years at That's Mandarin school in Shanghai, The campus environment here is very good, They provide free coffee and tea, and during the break we can chat with our classmates and teachers while drinking coffee. the teachers are very nice and professional, always can teach new knowledge in simple language, vivid examples, easy to grasp. Also class atmosphere is excellent! If you want to find a school to learn Chinese, That's Mandarin is a good choice！Recommend!

The staffs are very friendly, and my teachers are always on time and always very warm. Studying chinese here was a great experience and we always did reviews which was really helpful for my chinese learning experience.

Their system is very useful for learning and reviewing new knowledge.There are also exercises and test questions in the system. You can use the system to learn and test your learning level.
You don't need to take notes by yourself. The teacher will help you take notes in the system in class.

Through research of different online learning Chinese programs, That's mandarin was the one that convinced me the most. I loved the structure of their courses, and the reports they offer to check your overall progress. I also liked the videos that were presented in the classes and liked how they let you switch through pinyin subtitles.

The only inconvenience was the price of the whole program. I think that the company is overcharging for their online services, so it might be very hard for me to go back to complete a level, especially knowing that only one level might cost me around $1300 USD! If I had the money, I'd complete the program. However, I think it is designed for wealthy employees or wealthy students.

If you can afford it, definitely give it a go!

I have been learning Mandarin with That's Mandarin for more than 2 years. It is a great combination of several complementary learning techniques, including live teacher interaction in online classes, and a digital platform that contains all learning and training materials. The digital platform provides materials for speaking, listening (videos), reading, and writing. The programme is flexible and adjusts to your speed of learning. Although my job sets significant time constraints, I have been able to progress much more than I would ever have thought, I have just sat my HSK2.

In the beginning it can be a little difficult, but as you continue the classes, it get's better and more fun. In class you get to focus more on the oral and your understanding of the context in the videos and sentence structure. On your free time you can review the class you had, do some exercises and learn to recognise and write the characters. You do get that feeling of mastery when you have learned a new character. When there is something you don't quite understand the teacher helps you. They are really nice and fun to talk with.
