Very helpful

This whole process has been a very long and arduous journey that I am not sure I would have been able to complete successfully without the assistance of Korean Horizons. The guidance and assistance received from Korean Horizons and Alistair have been of such great help. His regular check-ins and the way in which information is communicated helps to break down the process into small digestible sections that are more understandable and you will always feel that there is someone there to help you.

If you are one to have many questions about the whole program, I would recommend Korean Horizons as they are always speedy in answering and assisting you with any questions or issues that you may have.

So supportive!

I was so nervous when I first applied to this program! Just concerned about all the documents I’d need to gather, the steps I needed to take and of course the entire process of uplifting my life and moving to a whole new country! But I must say Alistair was incredibly supportive throughout. He would communicate regularly and was always available to answer questions or ease any worries I had. I would definitely recommend anyone who would like to teach in Korea to go through Korean Horizons! 10/10

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
My first day out of quarantine I was able to explore my assigned city, Changwon. I went to a Chicken BBQ place and the host offered me Chicken Feet! It was a new experience for me but I absolutely loved it!

Korean Horizons

Great help throughout application process and also while I am abroad in Korea currently. If I ever had an issue or problem during application, coordinator was quick to reply and offer solutions or advice. Now that I am in Korea, I am able to contact him at any time with an issue. Currently living outside of Sejong city, a relatively new city in South Korea. Have recently met everyone at my school and although the level of English of the staff means it is hard to communicate at times, I'm sure it will come with time.

Amazing help!

Wow - Alistair and Korean Horizons have been a massive help to me this year. I would not have had the confidence or organization to keep track of everything needed to apply and get accepted to EPIK if it wasn’t for Alistair’s continuous support and guidance. He walks you through the entire process, start to finish. He answers emails faster than I can send them, and goes above and beyond to the point that you forget he is working with lots of people, not just you. His service really feels very tailored and personal. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Very supportive

Alistair was such a great help throughout the entire process from the very beginning all the way to settling into the apartment. He was always quick to answer my questions, even when they were stupid or silly. The process to apply to EPIK is very lengthy and complicated so I was very grateful to have Alistair help with looking over my application, mock interview and let me know what to do at each part of the process. I don't know what I would've done without him! I highly highly recommend Korean Horizons as a recruiter if you are looking to teach in a public school in South Korea.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Waiting - for interview results, for my placement, pcr results etc. And I just kept thinking what was meant to be will be and everything happens for a reason and that helped me to overcome the nerves.

Super Helpful and Supportive

My experience with Korean Horizons has been incredible. I was so nervous about a lot of things - the application, the interview, living in a new country, etc. Alistair Wery was so helpful and helped me build my confidence through mock interviews and general advice.
Now that I am settling in in South Korea, he is still keeping in touch and offering to help me, which is very appreciated as I'm still trying to figure things out.
I would strongly recommend Korean Horizons to any hopeful applicants.

Why wouldn’t you take advantage?

As a current EPIK teacher I am happy to report that I am having an amazing experience so far and can only see it getting better. I am thankful to have supportive schools and co-teachers that were as happy and excited to meet me as I was them. Similarly, the area that I’m located in has tons of convenient and foreigner friendly facilities close by. Best of all, throughout my entire process to come here and even now I have been supported by KH. The interview process especially was nerve wracking but the support you get is honestly crucial. When it comes to procuring and sending off important documents I can honestly say that your best shot is to have someone on your team that keep you on track and 100% informed. I couldn’t recommend it more!!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Make sure to come with good intentions and an openness for different cultures. You’re not just here to teach English but to learn and make connections.

Korean Horizons Helped Me Achieve My Dream

Alistair Wery of Korean Horizons was an amazing support for my goal of teaching abroad. He was prompt to respond to any question I had. Even after getting to Korea, he continues to offer support and advice to me. I highly recommend Korean Horizons if you have ever thought about teaching in Korea. They made the process so much easier and understandable for me. They gave me guides and information about moving to Korea and what important documents I should take. Moreover, I can't imagine going to Korea without the guidance I received, I would have been so lost! I can't recommend Korean Horizons enough!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
My most nerve wracking moment was the interview. However, Alistair did a mock interview with me and went over my weakest points. I don't think I would have passed if I didn't have him to help!

By far the most helpful recruiter!

Since day 1 Alistair has been the most helpful, answering every question I've had, stupid or otherwise. I have recommended and will continue to recommend Korean Horizons for those who want to apply to South Korea to teach.

Alistair definitely makes the entire process seamless and always guides you through every aspect of your application.

You are always kept up to date with the latest news and changes that EPIK have made as soon as possible. Even through the uncertainty of covid, Alistair provides you with the best solutions!

100/10 would keep recommending!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would certainly not change anything, woukd always use Korean Horizons!

Korean Horizons

Alistair was super helpful and I felt like I always knew what was going on. I am The type of person that always wants to make sure I’m doing everything correctly and asks 101 questions. Alistair was always there to update me on everything that I needed and let me know when I was overthinking things. The mock interview was super helpful and made me feel super comfortable when it came to the actual interview. If you just want the extra security of having someone walking you through this process and answer all your questions I would definitely recommend using this recruiter.
