Nice course that's cheap

I am excited to explain about my TEFL training with studyTEFL. First, this wasn't a simple course which just makes you read text and click answers about theory. When I look up this course 3 weeks before, one student said AI voices were a problem, but they have 'updated in April 2026' on all their unit pages to show these have changed to a real human. It's funny to me that one person's complain maybe changed their philosophy! The videos are good, so maybe it's a good thing. Next, the units have so many knowledges that they cover so many important parts of teaching like actually what to do to teach all age groups. The biggest thing for me was the online teaching unit, as that's what I will do now. It's a complete course with logical structure that has leave me extremily satisfied.

Perfect for doing while travelling

The makers of this course have done an excellent job. I did another one of these maybe 7 or 8 years ago, but the TEFL company disappeared. That course was a few PDF pages over 10 or so modules with a few emailed assignments. It was a joke.

Happily, this course isn't that. I'm just getting back into teaching again, so this was perfect for me to review things like grammar games and see what new methods are out there. It goes deep into games and motivation, but the best thing was the unit on online teaching, which is how I'm planning on getting back into teaching at first. Honestly, this was such a pleasant surprise. Thanks!

Incredibly good value

I had no experience teaching, and I've never done an online course before, but I found this excellent across the board. Well, sure there are a few things they could maybe change to make it even better, but for the price it's kind of insane.

To give an overview, you get everything in text and video (it seems like they've trashed most their AI narrated stuff for a tutor's reading on video - much better, though they didn't have these on all the units - I didn't check as once you burn through a unit the last thing you want is to go back - the units are pretty full of stuff). They give a small quiz after the text and feedback. You don't get feedback for the main quiz, which I imagine is to stop cheating, but it'd be nice to get something here.

They have other activities too. I mean, it's just packed for what you pay. Really, really good.

168-hour

The longer course wasn't much more money than the 120 hours, so I figured why not? You actually do the 120 first and then you go through a young learner's course and finish on teaching adults. The whole thing was fantastic. They boast about value for money and having lots of useful content, which you kind of take with a grain of salt, but when you do the course you actually see what they mean - it's vast and it really gets into detail about what teaching English is like. Most units lead you into a type of visualization process where you need to select which strategy you'd choose from a few, but the best thing is that they give you feedback about why the selection's right. That really helped me learn more and is one of the reasons I rate this course and this training company so highly.

TEFL

I have thought before this that maybe the TEFL course is a few hours of reading and make the answers very easy, but actually this is not the way. The course it has many text to read through and many questions. Therefore, it is not a fast or easy course. For this I am very happy. Also, I can down-load the text to translate and read separate. This was a good thing. The video not me interested, but the quiz is good each time to remember. I have no contact with the staff but they send to me the certificate in 20 minutes or 30 minutes. It is a strong course.

TEFL certification

I give a huge thumbs up to this course. It's nice to be right about things, and I feel that way with this course. I went through the website, checked the accreditation and looked at their free lesson before dropping any cash on it, and my gut feeling turned out to be spot on. What I love was the detail that went into every unit and their attempts to make it more practical than just 'here's some text, learn it, now put your regurgitated answer here'. I didn't have an issue with the avatar videos (I ran them on double speed on my phone while driving, though admittedly that was a bit soporific), and considering it was £40 I can't see how you could really expect more. Absolutely I recommend these guys.

Cheap TEFL course that ticks the boxes

I didn't need much aside from a certificate to hook up a job in Korea and a bit of know how to not look like a muppet when I rock up for that job, and I got all that for my 30+ euros. I was kind of expecting to cruise through it in a few hours as I'd read that's the deal with most courses under 100 euros but not a chance you're done with this in a few hours as theres a ton of content. It's not hard but it's kinda lot to learn. The reading wasn't my thing so I hit up the videos on fast and was able to get learned up like that. Quizzes were fine, just a mix of questions. At the end of I'm sat here and I think I know how to teach so I'm set. Just need my recruiter to hook me up with something that isn't screaming 5 year olds.

Lots for your money

I'm impressed with what I got, but of course the price helps me say that! To be fair to this company, they make it hard not to be happy with them minus one or two things that had me wondering what they were up to (eg not splitting up reading and listening onto 2 units, so they have 2 units on them combined). Really though, it's a strong course and most of the stuff just clicked- especially things like tpr and their teaching about making games of the boring stuff. My experience was very good, so there you have it.

Many great things and only small burdens

The course is lovely with lots of interesting informations and is very professional with the tutors. My experience was full of knowledges and it has helped me understand the language more better and how I can teach others. I think the activities are interesting and thoughtful though the loading time for videos and the text pdf is sometimes a few seconds inside the page, which can feel burdenful though not a big problem. Aside the loading speed everything is smooth and I recommend the course for new teachers want to train. I can upload this certificate for online teaching with success.

Impressive what you get

Staff: Exceptional. They replied quickly and answered my questions the couple of times I had them. They prepared my certificate exactly as I asked with my middle names.

Material: I hadn't expected there to be so much. I mean, there is a lot of work that's gone into this. There were videos covering everything, and I mean everything. The best thing was being able to see teachers teaching classes, though one video was a bit poor quality.

Assessments: There were different type with quizzes for review and other quiz things that took you through classroom scenarios, which was pretty clever I thought. Every unit there's a unit quiz. The midterm and final are just review basically, so it's nothing difficult but it's pretty thorough.

Certificate: Gorgeous! I got it emailed to me quickly.

Learning quality: Despite this not being a practical course, I feel like I got so much from it. I paid $39 and feel like I could've paid $100 more and still be satisfied, though I suppose it's easy to say in theory. Regardless, I learned alot! I absolutely recommend this company and the 120 hour TESOL course.
