I was in Yangshuo county only for one week, and it was a fun and experiencefull week. We had a small class with a teacher who was very enthusiastic to teach us and communicate with us. She is very patient and fun to be with. The staff is helpful and it was easy to get in. I had a lot of language partners every day, with was very interesting. I would recommend to do this, it makes it easy to get to know the other students. There are many students both from China and foreigners, so I had plenty of opportunities to practice Chinese. I also got recommendations for the gym and hiking tours in Yangshuo county.

I had the best time at Omeida in Yangshuo! The highlights for me were the amazing staff - the teachers are professional and truly care about your progress, the student advisors are friendly and helpful, everybody is just so welcoming, in a few days it already felt homely to me.
As a beginner, I enjoyed the lessons and felt that I’m improving, although sometimes the class size matters for not everybody is on the exact same level.
I have to say the volunteering ended up being the best part of my day! You get to chat with so many locals, you make friends and truly immerse yourself in the culture and local life. I learned more about China in these conversations than in all of my traveling prior.
If you’re looking for a fun, safe, memorable learning experience- Omeida is the place for you!

I stayed for two weeks at Omeida for the intensive course and the only thing I regret is not staying longer :) . Everything was great. The quality of the lessons and the teachers were high. I was very lucky that there was no one who had a similiar Chinese level, so I had one on one teaching which was absolutely fantastic. I made quick progress and it was fun. No worries if you come on your own. There are so many other students to talk to, you won't feel lonely at Omeida at all.
At Omeida Cafe there are always other people - you can find new friends, make music, learn together, climb the mountains, play Majiang, go to KTV and eat a lot of delicious food. The age range is between 18 and 50, but most people are between 20 and 40. So there will be people your age and even if not - everyone is so open minded and friendly that age is not a problem.
The staff at Omeida is super friendly and helpful, so life for you is very convenient, even when you can't speak Chinese, because the people at Omeida will take care of you and support you. Yangshuo and the surrounding environment is so beautiful and stunning. I went there in October which is a perfect time because it is not that hot anymore but still around 25-20 degrees.

Recommendation:
Take part in the organised trips, a great way to make friends and explore new places. Rent a scooter and drive the the Yulong river. Go at least one time to KTV 😄.

Fui a Omeida porque quería por primera vez experimentar el estudiar el idioma del país que visitaba. Y fue una experiencia increíble! Ame la escuela, las clases dinamicas, sus actividades (tienen muchas), que conoces gente de varias partes del mundo y que te ayudan con absolutamente todas tu dudas.
Ame la pequeña ciudad, es hermosa, tranquila. El rio esta a solo 10 min en scooter. La comida es deliciosa! Mucha variedad, tambien encuentras fruta de todo tipo.
De mis mejores viajes. De verdad espero volver!

I studied at Omeida Chinese Academy in Yangshuo for approximately one year - a full-time HSK 4 preparation course and then part-time and online classes.

I really cannot recommend Omeida more highly. The whole experience was truly life-changing and one of the best things I've ever done. Yangshuo is utterly beautiful and it is the perfect environment to focus on your Chinese, while enjoying the nature and exciting activities offered in Yangshuo.

Omeida has excellent and friendly teachers and staff (in particular, Teacher Vivian) who really care about your Chinese progress, are extremely hard-working, and always endeavour to provide an immersive environment to study Chinese. The support staff are also fantastic, with clear communication about course management, the organisation of cultural activities and excursions, and willingness to help with any issue that you may encounter in Yangshuo.

I had the opportunity to make life-long friends from China and around the world, and take part in amazing experiences that I never would have had studying at a larger city language school. The benefits having the adjacent English school (with Chinese students learning English) cannot be understated - there are always native speakers that want to practice with you, play sports, and go out for meals.

I thoroughly recommend Omeida to anyone who is interested in improving their Chinese and experiencing the beauty of Yangshuo.

My only regret is that I came for a week only. Omeida team is friendly and dedicated to providing the best learning environment. Be prepared to meet fellow students who study hard and are very focused on learning Mandarin. Classes are well structured, and there are plenty of opportunities to practice Mandarin with fellow Chinese students who are learning English. Yangshuo itself is a pretty town with plenty of good restaurants. Rent a scooter if you want to explore the surrounding areas. I highly recommend the course.

I spent six highly rewarding weeks at Omeida Chinese Academy, participating in the Standard Chinese Learning Program. With three classes a day, Monday through Friday, the schedule was absolutely the perfect fit for me!

This structure allowed me time to:
- Practice and solidify the material I had just learned.
- Connect with genuinely interesting people.
- Explore the surroundings of Yangshuo.

Yangshuo itself is a truly beautiful town, offering a friendly atmosphere and a big variety of restaurants to suit every taste.

One of the most fulfilling parts of my Omeida "adventure" was the incredible community I found. I met charming people—fellow students from all over the world, as well as native Chinese individuals from various cities.

I am also deeply grateful for the kindness and dedication of the teachers and Omeida staff. Their support and professionalism significantly enriched my entire stay.

I highly recommend Omeida for anyone looking for an effective and immersive Chinese learning experience!

I’ve studied volunteer+study program for 2 weeks and I have some things I loved about this place.
1) study in small groups. It maked me being involved in every conversation.
2) international students-friendly environment. I’ve met a lot of interesting people from all over the world
3) I loved my teacher for personal skills and I loved all members of a crew for being friendly and helpful
4) breathing views, sport opportunities (cycling is my favourite)
5) the low price for study program and the low price for living

Hi, I spent one month in Omeida learning Chinese through the intensive course (5 hours of classes every day). Before coming here I had not learned any Chinese at all.

In my time I met some really nice people, both other students and teachers of the academy who became my friends through time spent in class, exploring Yangshuo together and the weekend trips. I feel like I learned a lot and while there is always a lot more to learn now I feel comfortable traveling through China and dealing with the things I encounter along the way.

I also really appreciated the support by the academy, organizing lots of social activities and weekend trips (if you get a chance to go to the rice terraces you should definitely take it!).

Overall, I'm really happy I came here. If you take the intensive course, you get what you came for - intensive studies but also fast progress.

After I leave I definitely want to keep going by using Omeida's remote teaching option :)

China is a great country, Yangshuo is a beautiful and charming city. Omeida is an outstanding institute.
