AIP internship in Bangkok

My internship in Bangkok has been a truly enriching experience that gave me the opportunity not only to gain new work experience and knowledge, but to immerse myself in local culture. Definitely no regrets signing up for this one month programme. The AIP team was friendly and supportive during the time we were here in Bangkok, checking in with us regularly. They also organised a dinner for us to get to know each other better. Additionally, the friends I made and memories formed along the way made this a truly valuable time. I love the food the people and the city and I will miss it dearly.

The staff of AIP have been the most helpful and kind, guiding me through each step along my journey. They were responsive and gave me the guidance I needed. I was also matched to a very good start-up company which I am highly satisfied and happy to be working in for the past 4 weeks. Overall, a very memorable experience for me.

Internship in an Investment Firm in Bangkok

AIP provided me with an internship with an investment firm in Bangkok. It brought me new experiences and I was able to learn many new things from my time here. The AIP Team brought me and my fellow interns on a nice welcome dinner and we also received sufficient support along the way during our stay here in Bangkok.

Made many new friends on this trip too. We had many adventures, roadtrips and experiences here in Bangkok together and I'm glad AIP brought us closer through this internship program.

Discovering what I really love

I have completed a 4-month internship in Bali with a fintech company, where I not only worked but also attended workshops that equipped me with valuable skills. It's an excellent chance to learn, work, and immerse yourself in a new part of the world. I highly recommend it, as I had a fantastic experience. It's also a great opportunity to connect and collaborate with like-minded individuals who quickly become close friends. Thanks to my AIP supervisor who never made me feel unattended. She updated me even on weekends and their team would always check on me.

The importance of getting out of your comfort zone

Had a lot of fun! It was an awesome time, and I'd definitely do it again. You get to meet cool people, try amazing food, and have an unforgettable experience. Even if the internship isn't exactly in your career field, I still think it's worth giving it a shot. The staffs in the company are really nice and helpful, so don't worry about adjusting – you'll get used to everything quickly. I love Tokyo; it's the perfect city for an internship. My favorite part was visiting Mount Fuji – it was amazing to see the more rural parts of Japan. The schedule is flexible, so you'll have time to explore many other places in Japan. Tokyo alone has so much to offer; it would take years to see it all.

Living my dream in Indonesia

During my internship, I got to dive into the field I'm passionate about. I worked on handling data, creating a database, and building a model for a potential AI operating system down the line. This experience helped me pick up a bunch of technical skills, and I often had to come up with solutions for problems the company hadn't faced before. It felt like I was a valuable part of a team working on something important. It was a very cool experience and I also got to travel in Thailand and Vietnam.

Digital Marketing Remote Internship

I had the privilege of completing a 2-month remote internship with a Tech Solutions company as a Digital Marketing Intern, and the experience was so chill and enriching. One of the highlights of this internship was the hands-on exposure to various facets of digital marketing. I actively participated in content creation, managing social media platforms, and contributing to SEO optimization efforts. The team's guidance and constructive feedback played a pivotal role in refining my skills and understanding of the industry.

I am proud to note specific achievements during the internship, including a notable increase in website traffic and social media engagement. These tangible results, coupled with the mentorship received, have significantly contributed to my professional development.

All thanks to AIP for arranging my internship with this company. They exceeded my expectations and I'm very grateful for the opportunity. Also, they gave me a discount so I'm definitely applying for summer next year!

Southeast Asian

During my NGO internship in Malaysia, I had the privilege of contributing to meaningful projects that aimed to uplift local communities. I worked on initiatives focused on education, healthcare, and sustainable development. This experience not only broadened my perspective on social issues but also allowed me to collaborate with passionate individuals dedicated to making a positive impact. Thank you AIP for providing me with what exactly I wanted to do for this internship. I really enjoyed it and will definitely visit again.

Xin chào Vietnam!

I was really lucky to do an internship in Vietnam last year. AIP was super supportive, and I met awesome people during the internship and at social events. Ho Chi Mihn quickly felt like home, and I made lifelong friends. It helped me grow personally and gain professional experience. No regrets, and I wish I could do it all again. I recommend this program to anyone who wants to travel and work professionally. This experience taught me that anything is possible, and you should grab every opportunity.

What was your funniest moment?
I was trying to vlog my meal and I mispronounce a word in vietnamese. Everyone inside the restaurant were looking at me but the person next to my table was very friendly that she corrected and taught me the right tone to say it.
Pros
  • Very affordable coffee
  • Food is the best
Cons
  • It can get really hot during summer

My first ever Thailand experience 2023

When I chose Thailand as my primary destination, I knew it right away that it will be fun and full of adventure although I'm going there for my internship. AIP arranged an airport pickup for me as part of my package and the moment I went out of the airport, my driver was waving a banner with my name. I felt very welcomed. My accommodation also includes a gym which really helped me a lot because food in Thailand is topnotch. Also, on my first day at the office, the entire team arranged a small welcome party for me which really made me feel comfortable right away. Although some people in the office didn't speak good english, they were able to converse with me everyday and I actually learned a lot of thai words. Overall, I am very satisfied! Thank you AIP!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
My duration. I find it very short and I feel like I missed a lot of things to experience. I'll be back soon.
