Wonderful place, loved Bangkok and grew immensely. Sorting a placement in the beginning was a bit of back and forth, with the requirement that I could only say yes/no to an internship one-at-a-time, which made deliberations entirely intuitive and not a fair pros/cons comparison. Had to work with my university for most of the beginning stages of the placement. While AIP was helpful in starting the initial conversation with partners, everything becomes pretty independent from there. Wish there was more transparency about the benefits they provide and communication during the housing assignment. Not sure if AIP was a necessary part of my experience, but grateful either way. Thank you Tyler for being a great support system throughout.

I had an amazing experience interning abroad through AIP, and I truly cannot recommend the program enough. From the very beginning, the advisors were incredibly supportive and made what initially felt like a daunting experience much easier. Moving to another country for two months was something I had never done before, so I naturally had a lot of questions. Whenever I reached out, the AIP team responded quickly, provided clear guidance, and made me feel confident throughout every step of the process.

One of the things I appreciated most about the program was how organized everything was before I arrived in Japan. The advisors helped prepare me for my internship, answered questions about traveling, and ensured I understood what to expect while living abroad. They also assisted with arranging my housing, which was a huge relief. Knowing that my accommodations had already been organized allowed me to focus on getting excited about the experience rather than worrying about logistics.

The housing provided was comfortable and conveniently located, making it easy to commute to my internship and explore Japan during my free time. Having reliable accommodations made a significant difference because it gave me a place where I felt safe and comfortable after long workdays. I also appreciated that the AIP team remained available throughout the program in case I needed assistance. It was reassuring to know that I always had someone I could contact if any questions or concerns came up while I was abroad.

My 8-week internship in Japan was one of the most rewarding experiences of my college career. Professionally, I gained valuable hands-on experience that allowed me to apply what I had learned in the classroom while also developing new skills in an international work environment. Working alongside professionals from another culture helped me improve my communication, adaptability, and confidence. I learned how to collaborate with people from different backgrounds and gained a much broader perspective on how business is conducted internationally.

Outside of work, living in Japan was an unforgettable cultural experience. I had the opportunity to explore beautiful cities, experience Japanese traditions, try incredible food, and meet amazing people from around the world. Every weekend brought a new adventure, whether I was visiting temples, exploring neighborhoods, attending local festivals, or simply discovering new restaurants and cafés. These experiences helped me grow personally and become more independent. Living abroad challenged me in the best possible way and gave me memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

What stood out most about AIP was how much they genuinely cared about the participants. They didn’t simply place students in internships and disappear—they consistently checked in, provided support, and made sure we were having a positive experience. Their dedication made me feel valued throughout the entire program.

Overall, I am incredibly grateful for everything AIP provided. The combination of a meaningful internship, dependable housing, ongoing support, and the opportunity to fully immerse myself in Japanese culture made this an experience I will never forget. I returned home with stronger professional skills, greater confidence, lifelong memories, and a deeper appreciation for international experiences.

I would highly recommend AIP to any student considering an internship abroad. If you’re looking for a program that offers excellent support, meaningful career opportunities, and an unforgettable cultural experience, AIP is an outstanding choice. My case may be unique since the only real support I needed was help securing a placement, not the fuller range AIP offers. Staff were great, especially Tyler. There was an early placement misalignment requiring back-and-forth. Wish AIP had been clearer upfront on accommodations and health insurance coverage. Worth it for independent students needing support; less clear for a university.

Think the program fee could have easily covered better accommodations and gone further for personal food, transportation, and general life expenses.

I would like to thank AIP for finding me an amazing internship and pairing me with a company in the country of my original choice. Not only did the country match my preference, but so did the city, the type of organization, and the organization category. I was placed in an internship that aligned perfectly with my interests, such as human rights and nonprofits.

The placement process was a little slower than I would have expected. Even with the tight time frame, I was still able to make the most out of my experience. Response time was pretty straightforward as long as I reached out. I was scared that they had forgotten about me during the interview process, but I assume their hands were tied with so many applicants at the time. I simply followed up often and received responses with no issues.

The only other mishap was when there was a mix-up in my host company website details. Before the interview, I was meant to read the company's website to ensure I had context for the interview. However, there was a small mix-up because my company shared similar acronyms with another company. During my interview, it was noted that I did not have the proper insight because of the mix-up. Therefore, I faced no penalties for not knowing, and my host company was very understanding. I hope AIP continues to protect the integrity of its placement process, reviews and customer service by promoting transparency and ensuring students receive the correct information throughout the entire process.

Overall, I appreciate AIP for providing me with a placement that helped me develop future skill sets and build relationships that will last a lifetime. The Individual Package was the absolute best because it allowed me to manage my money in a way that worked better for my budget. This package also gave me the room to step out of my comfort zone and gain individuality through solo travel that I never would have gained without the option to choose a more independent experience. It also means they have more options for students who would like a little more support.

I am really glad that AIP did not put my interests aside and place me just anywhere because my placement really made my experience complete. I hope the company continues to protect its integrity and promote transparency in its services so that future students can have the same positive experience that I had.

I loved my experience interning in Seoul through AIP. The application process was super easy and efficient. The staff were also super attentive throughout the whole process and checked-in with me to make sure I was doing ok with my company. My AIP manager, Herlyn, provided me with plenty of recommendations of things to do around Seoul. She also was also very reliable in terms of communication and helped me with any issues I ran into while interning abroad. Overall, I would rate my experience a 10/10 😛🫶🇰🇷

My time in Japan was an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. I had the opportunity to explore Tokyo, experience Japanese culture, try amazing food, meet new people, and learn how to navigate life in a completely different country. My internship in Bangkok has been an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. Working in such a vibrant, bustling metropolis offered the perfect blend of fast-paced professional growth, hands-on learning, and rich cultural immersion.

Navigating the city's dynamic work environment helped me build valuable skills and confidence alongside a warm, supportive team. My internship was very interesting and was definitely a challenge. However I have felt like I learned a lot and have learned more than I would have if I hadn’t built up the courage to try out this program. I wish the staff had the time to communicate more with my cohort specifically, but I was aware of the massive influx of students for this year so it is understandable that we weren’t able to see them as much as we hoped. We were always able to contact them and encouraged to if anything had happened! The internship was indeed related to my career hopes and it was still fun. I also was able to explore the vast city of Seoul and had never once felt homesick. I would definitely recommend this experience to someone who wants to learn how to work with people of diverse cultures and wants to challenge themselves working in a foreign country.
