Amazing experience with AIP

Doing an internship in Thailand through AIP has been nothing short of amazing! From the supervisors to the CEO, everyone at AIP takes great care of you the moment your feet touch ground. AIP love to organized outings with other interns in your city to help you feel comfortable in the city you are working, these outings are amazingly fun and if you ever join through AIP I highly recommend going along! The support shown by the AIP team is second to none, with common check-ups to make sure everything is running smoothly and you are enjoying your time abroad. I highly recommend anyone looking to do an internship aboard to connect with AIP and see what they have to offer you (it’s a lot). Thank you AIP for making my internship experience one to remember!

Amazing summer with professional growth, earning work experience with cultural discovery. I gained skills that will be useful on my journey and future job, but also discovered japanese culture and its workplace. However it all went beyond the office as I was able to try amazing food, see japanese traditions and daily life. Interning in Malaysia

I have had an amazing time over the last two months, working with the Asia Carbon Exchange in Kuala Lumpur. AIP was very helpful in finding high quality accommodation and routinely checking in to see how I was doing. The company I was working for was also extremely friendly and welcoming, even taking me on trips to explore Malaysian food and culture. Transport was also organised for me to pick up from the airport which made the trip easy. Overall I have really enjoyed my time in kl and hope to return soon.

Internship in Seoul

My name is Linda, and I joined the Asia Internship Program for a marketing internship in Seoul, South Korea. The team really took the time to understand my goals and matched me with a company that fit my interests perfectly. They supported me throughout the whole process, from preparing for interviews to helping me get settled into my accommodation. Moving abroad can feel overwhelming, but their guidance made it smooth and stress-free. Thanks to them, I had an amazing professional and cultural experience in Korea. A different world

I went to Korea the first time ever as someone who has been out of school well over 5 years. I solo travelled and stayed for 2 months in an Airbnb and enjoyed my time. I recommend 4-5 weeks at most. At any age and any ethnicity you should try this. I am happy I did! So much so that I can’t wait to visit Thailand and other places in south east Asia solo. The program also offers you free transport back to the airport when it’s time to depart! I do wish they had a language class and more group outing when I went but no regrets here!

  • Support virtually

AIP in Jakarta

I had an excellent internship experience with AIP, and I am very grateful for the support I received throughout the entire process. From the beginning, the team was attentive to my needs and went above and beyond to ensure I was placed in Jakarta, which is the location I had hoped for. Their dedication and professionalism made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Beyond logistics, everyone at AIP was kind, approachable, and genuinely supportive, which made me feel welcomed and cared for.

The best six week of my life

Thanks to AIP, I was able to complete an amazing six-week internship in South Korea. It was my very first trip abroad and completely on my own, but with AIP’s support I always felt safe and well taken care of. From the moment I was picked up at the airport, I knew I was in good hands. They quickly answered all of my questions and guided me throughout the whole process. I was matched with a great internship placement that perfectly fit my interests and the housing location was excellent with both bus and metro stops less than five minutes away. During this time I met so many new people, experienced Korean culture firsthand and gained memories I will never forget. I wouldn’t change a thing! I am beyond grateful and very happy with AIP’s service. I would do it again if I could and I highly recommend it to anyone considering an internship abroad!

What was your funniest moment?
On my very first day in Korea I was super tired, since I barely slept on the flight. In the afternoon I went to a convenience store to grab something small to eat and drink before going straight to bed. I thought I bought two bottles of water (there was even a water drop on the label!)… but it turned out to be soju. Lesson learned: don’t let the packaging fool you in Korea!
Pros
  • Better English skills
  • Got more confident
  • Experience
Cons
  • Not everyone speaks English (but u can still use translation apps)
  • Sometimes my Credit card didn't work(u should always have some cash on u)

Great people, great time!

I had a great experience! The AIP people are very responsive and communicative. It was nice that they periodically checked in throughout my time abroad, and the free ride from the airport made it very easy to settle in at first. I spent two months in Taipei, and it was super fun, and the people are so nice! The food is super good at the night markets and local restaurants. Beef noodle soup, deep-fried king crab legs, and Din Tai Fung are all standouts. MRT and public buses make travel around the city super easy if you dont have a private driver.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The wasps here can get bigger than 3 inches long! They are extremely scary, but I put on my big boy pants and ran away whenever I saw one 10/10
Pros
  • Night markets + super cheap food
  • Kind locals + Beautiful island
  • Lots of English and Korean for non Chinese speakers
Cons
  • Bugs are huge compared to America
  • Hot and humid every day
  • Bad pasta (do not eat the Italian food here it is very bad)
