This was an experience of a lifetime. From experiencing the rich culture of Cambodia in its purest form, and so many new and wonderful people, I am very grateful. All of the people that I met on my course have crept into my heart and I will cherish each one of them forever. The course was so valuable to me, and I am so grateful and happy that I took park. It was the most enriching experience, and I will never forget it. There are countless memories that I will cherish in my heart forever, and I would recommend this experience to anyone.

The course was a fantastic experience for me. The trainers are knowledgeable and engaging who craft a huge amount of information into interesting, relatable activities.
All the lessons prepared me well for our teacher practicals giving us real time teacher experience while still on course allowing for helpful feedback. This experience has given me the confidence to step into a classroom and deliver an engaging lesson to a group of learners!
The Feb 2020 course was complemented with an incredible group of students making the journey into TEFL an absolute blast.

I am absolutely stunned by the Destination TEFL, Siem Reap program and team! The in-depth course has given me the knowledge, skills and confidence to be an amazing TEFL/TESOL teacher! I enjoyed the teacher practicals as well as community outreach aspect of the course with CDP! I am also thrilled to have at least 3 job interviews for possible job placements lined up, even before graduation! I would highly recommend this program! Special shout out to Tina Hennessy (our head trainer) - she is such a warm, kind and passionate trainer!

Literally everything I expected and so much more. The value or ferfillment you get when teaching someone something as simple as 'turtle' and the whole class or even just one struggling student starts being able to recognize and repeat a word is ultimately the best feeling you get. This is really something that pushed me to jump on the plane, travel across the world and complete the TEFL course. I came honestly admit I don't regret it at all. Well there is something I do regret and this is that I didn't do it sooner.

Signing up for the 4 -week course at Samui TEFL was one of the best decisions I ever made. The island is beautiful and the accommodation is amazing. The teachers are brilliant, helpful, patient, understanding and go above and beyond to help you find a job.
I received a job offer whilst I was on week 3 of the course and I started work the week after finishing. it was that simple.
I am now a teacher at Hua Hin and everything is going well. I am teaching English to 11 -14 year olds which suits me because they are learning advanced English which I am more interested in.

Taking the initial step out of our comfort zones, my wife and I decided that we wanted to do the TEFL course in Thailand and learn about it's people and culture at the same time. Once we have landed, our accomodation was already confirmed before we took off in South Africa, and the owner of D-valley resort where we stayed for the entire course, transported us from Koh Samui Airport. The TEFL course was intense but so much fun and the presentation by the trainers was awesome and effective. Chiara and Jane (the trainers) are very good at their jobs. The course was packed with information and all relevant. An island tour was included in the package which gave our group a break from training. The assistance with setting up interviews with employers at the end of the course was great and by the time we landed in Cambodia, our entire group were set up with interviews.

No need to think twice, best decision I have ever made . I also met the most amazing people while doing the course, made life long friends, and had so much fun. Trust me the tutors know what they are talking about and the support is spot on.I went to Koh Samui not knowing what to expect I was nervous, wondering if I am doing the right thing, and then you do your first Teacher Practice, seeing the kids how they smiled how they looked at me with this awe in their eyes, some of them not so much, but at that moment every bad feeling I had just vanished and I felt a sense of purpose. TEFL wil give you every tool to succeed and become the best teacher you can be. Trust them because I do. I am currently working at a school in Cambodia thanks to TEFL.

After a year of going back and forth deciding rather or not I should do a TEFL course I finally took the first step and found Samui TEFL. This program not only gave me the right tools to teach but the confidence as well. Teaching in a foreign country I didn’t know what to expect, but with a detailed plan and positive feedback, I found myself really enjoying this newly learned skill. The trainers Chiara, Jane and the rest of the team at Samui TEFL did an amazing job at creating a safe and fun learning environment. Making sure everyone understood the different topics and getting the whole class involved in fun activities. You learn a lot without knowing that you did. Once you step in a classroom all that information comes out and you see how it all fits together. I highly recommend taking this course if you want to teach overseas!
One of the biggest things I learned that I consider an eye-opening experience was that teaching doesn’t have to be by the books, you can have fun, creative and interactive lessons with your students that can help them learn so much more. This 4-week course is intense but if you work hard and have fun it goes by so fast. Being on the island of Koh Samui is something I will never forget. I am an English teacher from Hungary, you may ask me why do I need to take a TEFL course. I have some experience teaching English in Hungary but it was 20 years ago. After finishing this course I realized how boring teacher I was back then. I knew I had a lot to learn and if you want to learn about teaching English Chiara is the best teacher you can get. We had an amazing group of people in our class from every part of the world, we went to the training centre excited every day, nobody missed a class in 4 weeks, I would've stayed longer if I could. We had the chance to practice in 3 different kind of schools and it was an amazing experience, Jane, Off and Chiara helped us in every way they can in organizing and planning these teacher practices. They even helped me to find a job in Samui, and I'm really grateful for that. Why Samui? I think it's enough to say I've been living here for 8 years now. It's a beautiful tropical island where you can find countless beautiful viewpoints in the mountains, amazing beaches, or you can visit busy markets, pubs with live music and party places.

"I think to travel and work abroad is something that everybody thought about sometime in their life. So many options and careers to choose from. So I decided to become a foreign teacher and what an adventure it has been since day one. Since arriving on Samui I knew exactly that my days of travelling is not even almost over. I lived my best life in Koh Samui with some life time friends I met on the Samui TEFL group. The course does not only give you an internationally accredited TEFL certificate but also a whole bunch of new best friends. Never knew that you can have so much fun while actually working really hard during the day. During this month on Samui you get to work with kindergarten up untill adults , which I think is great because then after the course you candecide the age group you want to teach. The trainers at the course also made learning very fun through constantly playing games - games which you can use in your own classroom one day - and also having little coffee breaks where it gives you enough time to quickly catch up with the other trainees. The trainers also wrote the days' agenda on the board for everybody to see so that we are always on track of what's going to happen next. The amount of work was split evenly everyday so we always worked just as hard as the previous day. The TP's looked a bit daunting at first but once you are in front of the classroom with another trainee on your side , things just go smooth sail from there. You can never be worse than the previous day because after every TP you get feedback and tips that would help you to just get better and better. Having just a TEFL certificate does not make it harder to get a job , I was surprised when I realized how many International Schools there are around Asia. And they always seek passionate teachers like the one's Samui TEFL develope. I am very fortunate for having this oppurtunity granted to me. Strange how much your life can change in just one month.
