I was a native English-speaker 'mentor' for this English conversation program in Poland. We were promised 6 nights in a 3-4 star hotel+3 meals a day. The reality was we were put 2-to-a room in the staff quarters-old dirty furniture with bugs+ yuki food which made you pyuke. In the evening nothing cooked -just cheese+ bread. 1 mentor was bitten in the eye by a bug in her room. Polish students pay Euros 1000+ for this program I doubt Angloville spent 100 Euros on the mentors. They even have the nerve to charge 35 Euros to the mentors as 'admin fee'. A horrible experience. Slave labour never again. Avoid like the plague.

I was very excited to return to Warsaw after twenty two years this time with Angloville. I first went on a coach travelling over twenty seven hours. However this time around it was a different experience as now many Polish people spoke English compared with 2001 when Poland was being prepared to join the European union. My stay was great this time at Lamza ...a train ride outside of Warsaw...beautiful countryside and serene. The program was at Arti hotel. Meeting Lovely Mentees and fellow international Mentors.

I very much enjoyed travelling and sharing my travels experiences during my conversion sessions with my mentees and my colleagues on this journey . I was very much impressed with the mentees enthusiasm to share their interests and their lifestyle to advance in their conversion practices . I also enjoyed the location, the food and the structure of the program. I met some lovely people international mentors and the national mentees who were very knowledgeable about the world affairs which they depicted in their presentations.

The conditions of the hotel accommodations and the food were not as promised by the marketing staff. The shared rooms for the volunteers were in a damp basement with a moldy, stinking smell. The mattresses were 2 inch foam and very uncomfortable. Two of the three meals/day were the same everyday. Cold cuts, cheese, boiled eggs.
I was scheduled to volunteer for another course two months later but immediately contacted the administration and told them I would not be attending and why.
Even with two months notice, they have refused to refund my 150 Euro deposit because I will not do another course, where according to other volunteers, those accommodations are worse than the one I did.

Wonderful experience meeting and working with a great bunch of people from around the world. Can’t wait to undertake another programme . Had great support from staff and participants were eager and keen to learn and improve their English. Have made friends for life and have discovered a beautiful country. Accommodation was ok, the setting if the hotel was beautiful. Hotel staff were very friendly . Great outdoor area to sit and thankfully the weather was amazing . Would highly recommend this programme for older people as a great way to meet and engage with others .

It is an amazing program where you get to interact with people from different cultures. It is also really awesome interacting with the participants. You also get to learn a lot from them, especially about the country since they are the locals. It will be some hard goodbyes, for sure, but definitely worth it.

If you are a history buff, I would also recommend attending the city tour as you get to immerse yourself in the knowledge of your starting city.

Overalls, it is an experience of a lifetime.

I recently had the pleasure of participating in the Best of London Junior Program with Angloville, and I must say, it was an incredibly enriching and fascinating experience. As a mentor, I embarked on a journey that not only allowed me to explore the vibrant city of London but also enabled me to connect with participants from various corners of the globe.

The opportunity to meet and interact with young minds from diverse backgrounds was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Sharing ideas, stories, and perspectives with individuals who hailed from different cultures and countries enriched my understanding of the world in ways I never imagined. Angloville's commitment to fostering a global community of learners is evident through the thoughtful curation of participants.

One aspect that stood out during my time as a mentor was the boundless enthusiasm of the junior participants from Poland. Their eagerness to not only grasp the English language but also immerse themselves in the cultural intricacies was truly commendable. Serving as their mentor was an absolute delight, as their energy was infectious, and their willingness to learn was inspiring. Watching them embrace new experiences and knowledge with such enthusiasm was truly rewarding.

I cannot emphasize enough how much this experience has impacted me. The Angloville program not only provides a platform for cultural exchange but also facilitates personal growth. Stepping into the role of a mentor challenged me to refine my communication skills, adapt to different learning styles, and find innovative ways to bridge linguistic and cultural gaps.

Looking ahead, I am already planning to engage in more programs with Angloville. The value of the connections made and the insights gained from this experience are immeasurable, and I am excited to continue this journey of exploration and learning. Whether you're a mentor looking to make a difference or a junior participant eager to expand your horizons, Angloville's programs offer a unique and enriching avenue to achieve these goals.

The week outside Bialystok was our second session with Angloville. Our first was out of Poznan in 2022. The overall scheme of the program seems sound to me. We had the opportunity to work with each student and my mentoring experience was excellent. The room was good, but the food was a disappointment. We all craved fresh vegetables and fruit. Service was sloppy, as was housekeeping. One thing I found counterproductive to the goals was students ignored the “English only” rules and spoke to one another in Polish. Even the student coordinator spoke to them in Polish. Not very “immersive”.

I really enjoyed my time on these programmes. The environment was fun and supportive. I feel like I've made really good friends by doing this and I highly recommend this programme for anyone wanting to meaningfully spend their summer vacation.

I found the work rewarding as you can really feel the impact you have had on the participants at the end of each programme.

The team was extremely supportive especially when I felt unwell or stressed during the programme. They always tried their best to accommodate the needs of the international participants.

I loved it. I would definitely sign up for more such Programme. It is an amazing opportunity to meet people with different backgrounds, education and language.
I had signed up for one-week Junior programme in Osada Dankow. They offered us free city tour before the programme began. Met quite a lot of interesting people and expanded my network. The coordinators were awesome. Also the security officer who accompanied us during the programme was very friendly. Had a lot of fun , activities and games. Never felt bored. Good job Team Angloville. See you soon☺️
