An Amazing Experience with Angloville's Best of London Junior Program

I recently had the pleasure of participating in the Best of London Junior Program with Angloville, and I must say, it was an incredibly enriching and fascinating experience. As a mentor, I embarked on a journey that not only allowed me to explore the vibrant city of London but also enabled me to connect with participants from various corners of the globe.

The opportunity to meet and interact with young minds from diverse backgrounds was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Sharing ideas, stories, and perspectives with individuals who hailed from different cultures and countries enriched my understanding of the world in ways I never imagined. Angloville's commitment to fostering a global community of learners is evident through the thoughtful curation of participants.

One aspect that stood out during my time as a mentor was the boundless enthusiasm of the junior participants from Poland. Their eagerness to not only grasp the English language but also immerse themselves in the cultural intricacies was truly commendable. Serving as their mentor was an absolute delight, as their energy was infectious, and their willingness to learn was inspiring. Watching them embrace new experiences and knowledge with such enthusiasm was truly rewarding.

I cannot emphasize enough how much this experience has impacted me. The Angloville program not only provides a platform for cultural exchange but also facilitates personal growth. Stepping into the role of a mentor challenged me to refine my communication skills, adapt to different learning styles, and find innovative ways to bridge linguistic and cultural gaps.

Looking ahead, I am already planning to engage in more programs with Angloville. The value of the connections made and the insights gained from this experience are immeasurable, and I am excited to continue this journey of exploration and learning. Whether you're a mentor looking to make a difference or a junior participant eager to expand your horizons, Angloville's programs offer a unique and enriching avenue to achieve these goals.

In conclusion, the Best of London Junior Program with Angloville is an exceptional opportunity that promises unforgettable moments and valuable interactions. If you're seeking an experience that combines language learning, cultural exchange, and personal growth, I wholeheartedly recommend giving Angloville a try. It's an investment in yourself and a step towards a more interconnected global community.

August in Poland

The week outside Bialystok was our second session with Angloville. Our first was out of Poznan in 2022. The overall scheme of the program seems sound to me. We had the opportunity to work with each student and my mentoring experience was excellent. The room was good, but the food was a disappointment. We all craved fresh vegetables and fruit. Service was sloppy, as was housekeeping. One thing I found counterproductive to the goals was students ignored the “English only” rules and spoke to one another in Polish. Even the student coordinator spoke to them in Polish. Not very “immersive”.

Pros
  • Making friends with Polish people
  • Knowing we helped a bit
Cons
  • Food was not varied
  • Hotel service and housekeeping poor.
  • Not requiring student to speak English among themselves

Angloville

I really enjoyed my time on these programmes. The environment was fun and supportive. I feel like I've made really good friends by doing this and I highly recommend this programme for anyone wanting to meaningfully spend their summer vacation.

I found the work rewarding as you can really feel the impact you have had on the participants at the end of each programme.

The team was extremely supportive especially when I felt unwell or stressed during the programme. They always tried their best to accommodate the needs of the international participants.

Pros
  • Meeting new people
  • Exploring new countries
  • Building your resume

The coordinators were awesome. Also the security officer who accompanied us during the programme was very friendly. Had a lot of fun , activities and games. Never felt bored. Good job Team Angloville. See you soon☺️

Pros
  • Clean and spacious accommodation
  • Opportunity to make new friends
  • TEFL
Cons
  • Food can be a concern. However, they try their best to accommodate your requests

Angloville- Junior program

I was a native speaker in 3 Angloville camps in Poland this Summer. The english and polish coordinators and other speakers were all kind, approachable and supportive and I overall had a great time! I found the speaking sessions and activities with the kids a really useful experience for building confidence as I'd like to maybe pursue teaching English as a foreign language. It was great to immerse yourself in a new culture and talking to the kids gives you a real sense of this. Value for money on the program is also great as your food and lodging is all paid for. A great opportunity!

Pros
  • building experience in an education setting and running activities
  • meeting new people
  • experiencing a different culture
Cons
  • quite long days but these are broken up with regular breaks

The Angloville Programme is a genius experience, bringing together all the elements that make learning fun for the participants, The organisation from the application to finish was seamless. I was inspired to explore a new country, new cities and a new culture. I was encouraged to meet new people, learn about them, their passion and their way of life. I had the opportunity to taste new cuisine while sharing our passion for English Language, I was never lonely throughout the programme and had lots of fun and rest too,
The venue was exquisite and set close to nature and provided a serene atmosphere for learning, The coordinators were full of life and enthusiasm and provided support wherever they were required.

Pros
  • Learn new skills
  • Meet new Friends
  • See new places

Winter Angloville

I'd like to say that spending 3 weeks in Poland with Angloville was one of my best experiences so far! It does not only give you the opportunity to travel and learn more about a new country, but also helps you to build your character and socialize with people. I was part of 3 Junior programs (one of them a SKI program) and helping the kids practice their English through having interesting and fun conversations was exceptional. I found this program really helpful and fun, this is why I'll love to join it again!

Adult Programme.

I personally enjoyed the Angloville adult Programme immensely. The experience was pretty much what I expected it to be . It was wonderful. Overall the structure of the lesson format is straightforward and easy to fall into . The day starts nicely as you can sit with the participants and your fellow Native Speakers which eases you into the day over coffee and breakfast. You either take part in a small group activity or a one to one session each of which lasts about one hour. It's very relaxed but obviously there is educational exchange although this is very informal. You have prompt cards to guide your conversation exercise. After lunch you have similar sessions with different participants and this is the pattern you follow for your entire duration with Angloville. I would highly recommend Angloville to anyone of any age group but in particular maybe students. I met so many interesting people my fellow NS as well as the people improving their English.

Pros
  • Free hotel stay with all your meals met .
  • A chance to meet a wide variety of people from all walks of life .
  • Make new friends and improve your social skills and your resume.
Cons
  • It helps to be good with modern technology to help get around a new city.
  • Room sharing , just be a considerate room mate .
  • It can prove a bit costly if not planned well in advance.

Angloville Junior Program

It was such a great experience. Everyone was so nice and lovely. I got the chance to know a lot of great people from all over Europe basically. I will never forget my roommate and the Polish foods that we tried. :) We even continued our journey with two other girls that I had not known before. The accomodition of ours was great as well as the venue and foods served. We even got the chance to ski as native speaker participants as well. I will never forget the late night talks and walks and I am sure I would participate again in the future.
