Better in Theory

They did not provide all of the camping supplies they said they would. Most of the people in the girls section either did not have a mattress, pillow or sleeping bag. In my two person tent we were only had one sleeping bag. Also, for anyone who assumes it's an air mattress it is really just a pad. I would have enjoyed stoke more if the sleeping arrangements weren't tiny and not supplied. The weather was also awful, which stoke can't control, but another reason I would never plan to camp for Oktoberfest.

Pros
  • Atmosphere
  • Live Music
Cons
  • No sleeping bag or pillow
  • Very small tents
  • Weird breakfast

BEST TIME AT OKTOBERFEST BUT NOT OKTOBERFEST

Amazing!! The unlimited beer and sangria was what originally sold me on it, but it was more than that. Great place for people who like to party and have fun. Be aware of their activities, not for shy personalities, but a great way to meet new people. The food was amazing and accommodation were good, bathroom got a little messy at some point but would do it all over again.

I would highly recommend it to other school leavers who are travelling at the beginning of the year so won't be in Europe for the bigger party, Oktoberfest.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would bring more of my friends. Even though I made a lot of new friends, I also wish more of my friends were there.

Intense lifetime experience

It was intense! Stoke did an incredible job by entertaining us the whole time we were there. We were never missing information or help, always someone there to give advice or put a drink in your hands. Tents were a little small for two persons, but sleeping was just a minor matter anyway. The run was a blast, a bit scary but a lifetime experience! This was so much more than just the bulls run. I met lots of great people from all different countries and had enjoyed the unlimited beer and sangria!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Don't expect a quiet place where you can sleep and rest a lot. This campsite is made for parties and fun! Try to enjoy any minute, because this will be a once in a lifetime experience.

This was craaazy

I went with Stoke Travel to Oktoberfest and stayed at their Stoketoberfest campsite. I booked a tent for me and my best friend, which was really clean btw, with two sleeping bags and mattresses. Usually food at campsite isn’t the best.., but this time, it was definitely better than expected! Also, the best part of the campsite was the atmosphere. Since oktoberfest is always so crowded and busy, the campsite welcomed you with additional party, fun acitivities, home-made food and unlimited booze, and all in all cool people including the stuff. They were super informative, easy-going and fun. I had such a great time, and I'm looking forward to going back next year! If you're looking for a crazy experience, you should definitely try out Stoke!!

Surf House - The happiest place in the world!

I LOVE SURF HOUSE! I was on a solo trip around Europe last year and ended up changing my plans so i could keep going back... 5 times to be exact. The staff, the vibes, the location, the food, the activities... I couldn't fault it. The staff all soon became my friends and i was so excited to go back and see them. I made so many friends with other travellers and some of my best memories of my trip came from the surf house. I recommend this place to anyone. someone wanting to learn to surf, a pro, someone wanting to chill out and do some yoga, someone wanting some fun cultural nightlife in San Seb town... They've go it all. Do yourself a favour and get there, you won't regret it. If you are after a little get away in the most picturesque little (big) house, this is the place for you.

Easiest Camping Ever

Its camping made easy. As a young traveler wanting to make new experiences camping is great way to get out of your comfort zone. I first tried camping while staying with stoke at Ibiza and had such a great experience I decided to book Oktoberfest as well! Its all the fun of camping where you can experience sleeping and living in the great outdoors but stoke does everything for you from setting up your tent, offering clean showers and serving you warm meals. Not to mention that one of the biggest festivals in the world is a quick bus ride away! Definitely recommend to anyone looking to meet good people and enjoy mixing things up from a traditional hostel experience.

A wine battle like no other

At first I was a bit hesitant of coming to San Vino, but my mates ended up convincing me. I'm SO happy I did!! Met so many cool people from all corners of the world, all whilst throwing gallons of wine at one another. What an ice breaker, hey. This really is a Once in a Lifetime experience that would be such a shame to miss out on. The Stoke campsite has the best vibes and party atmosphere. Without a doubt, this was the highlight of my summer.

What would you improve about this program?
I made the mistake of not going with the All-Inclusive package that they offer, so it was a bit tedious going into the city to get food. I'd recommend going all inclusive- as Stoke provides all the food over at their campsite.

Awesome time at San Fermin

Stoke really knows how to do San Fermin!!!! Went there a few weeks ago with a group of friends, and I can honestly say that I had the time of my life. I was on the 24 hour trip, so I didn't get to see the campsite, which I regret as I've heard good things about their festival 'Stoked in the Park'. The city of Pamplona itself was absolutely insane- parties began from 10am in the morning on every street. I've never seen anything like it before. Definitely a must-see if you ever plan on heading over to Spain.

What would you improve about this program?
The bus was a little chilly, but otherwise no major improvements that I can think of.

Party train

Was a fun trip for new years! Compared to the prices of the regular trains to Edinburgh I'm so glad I took this trip. Went with a bunch of mates and from experience the best advice I can give you is to pace yourself!!! It's a long day! Got a free bottle of prosecco at the start of the trip which was mad and the shapes we got given was a game changer. The train up was the best way to start off NYE partying on a moving train and making heaps of new friends. Big crowds in Edinburgh so a lot of queuing and waiting but thats a new years festival for ya.. taking a small backpack is essential ! Edinburgh police are super strict on the size of bags you can take in to the festival so check up on that. Other than that was a pretty sick time. When we weren't allowed back into the after party venue one of the staff took me and my mates with a big bunch of people to a different club so we stayed out till the train left. Slept the whole way back on the train so that was perfect. Would recommend using stoke if youre planning to head to Hogmany or even if unsure what to do for new years I can definitely vouch for this trip!

Perfect last minute NYE celebration

I had the best time on the Stoke train from London to Edinburgh. I really wanted to go to Hogmanay to celebrate the beginning of the new year but didn't have a lot of time off work. Stoke provided the best pre party on the train as well as guidance to the Hogmanay festival. It was a really long day but the train ride home provided a great opportunity to gain some rest. Would definitely recommend to anyone else looking for a fun and unique way to celebrate New Years Eve!

What would you improve about this program?
Providing a chill out area for people once the partying becomes too much
