About
The Summer School explores sustainable energy technologies, such as building performance simulation, methods for energy supply of buildings, and energy trading and power plant management. It covers the fundamentals of modeling and simulation to carry out dynamic building simulations. Furthermore, a case study featuring energy efficient technology and a business simulation game featuring energy trading and power plant management enable students to apply their knowledge in a practical manner.
The Institute of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Building (E3D) and two visiting professors of TH Bingen conduct the academic content. E3D's research areas include energy in buildings and districts, ergonomics of the indoor environment, building information modelling, and computational engineering.
