Spring 2023 Semester Abroad

What a fantastic experience! While there were some issues with Florence University of the Arts, the EdOdyssey program was nothing short of amazing. Stefano was an enormous help with any and everything, and our housing was in an amazing spot. Florence is a truly incredible city, and I wouldn't trade this semester for the world. Amazing people, amazing food, amazing city–what more could I ask for! Plenty of off the beaten path adventures and opportunities to travel internationally and domestically!

Pros
  • Amazing location
  • Welcoming people
  • Walkable city
Cons
  • Frustrating university administration

Amazing Experience

I had the best experience with EdOdessy! The program included trips to the alps and countryside where we got to learn more about the culture, and the academics were interesting without being too challenging (it was easy to travel on weekends). Everyone involved with the program was amazing and I can’t recommend it more! You can tell that it’s made with the students in mind and the school makes it possible to set up your own class schedule so you can have time off to explore the city. Overall it was an invaluable experience that I’ll remember for years to come!

Incredible Study Abroad Experience

I had an absolutely fantastic time in Florence through EdOdyssey. I attended classes at a university, learned about Dante and the history of Tuscany, traveled all over Italy with my friends, and even got special trips through the program. I can truly say I loved every minute of the experience - it's like nothing else. I was able to push myself out of my comfort zone surrounded by friends and excellent staff and professors and it has changed my life. I will forever be grateful for this experience and all those who made it possible.

Pros
  • Breath-taking sites
  • Friendly atmosphere
  • Always more to learn/do
Cons
  • Hard to say goodbye!

Spring Mason-Led Florence Semester Experience

I had an amazing experience studying abroad and had an amazing group of individuals, especially Stefano Parenti from EOddysey, to guide and provide me with all answers and details I needed to maximize my experience. Studying abroad allowed me the opportunity to create memorable friendships and experiences. The staff at George Mason and EDoddysey really helped me navigate the difficult and sometimes isolating journey that takes place when one studies abroad especially for the first time. Traveling every weekend, hanging out with friends, taking amazing classes, and sightseeing almost everyday were the absolute best highlights of my trip and something I’ll never forget.

Pros
  • Lots do explore
  • Food
  • Friends
Cons
  • Overcoming language and culture barriers
  • Homesick
