About Program
Summer School in Italy is a 2-week cultural immersion program for girls between 14 and 18 years old.
This summer school has been created to help students connect with food and nature. This experience has been inspired by the slow food philosophy originating in Italy which believes in bringing people back to the source of where food comes from. The location of summer school is Calabria, Southern Italy where people put love and passion into their meals and have a deep connection with food and nature - a place where ancient traditions and recipes have been passed down and still exist today.
During the 2 weeks, the students will be part of Italian life and learn in a small group setting. They will be taught basic Italian, how to select ingredients and how to cook classic Italian dishes. There will be visits to museums, farms and historical sites, hiking, foraging and craft time where they will learn how to make their natural own skin care products with flowers and herbs.
