About Program
Participate in this transformative 6 credit study abroad course titled "Place, Space and the Creation of Identity: Understanding Self and Europe through the Camino De Santiago Pilgrimage". Taught in English, the course takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of European history. Add on a 3 credit Spanish course. Start in Madrid for 3 days and then travel to Granada, Spain for three weeks where you will live with a homestay and participate in field trips and excursions. Spend 9 days in Galicia walking the Camino and experiencing Santiago de Compostela. The program is designed to show the impact of the Camino de Santiago over the centuries and how it has shaped the contemporary lives of Spaniards and all Europeans.
