Erasmus Sevilla

Everything was just perfect and I am still in love with the city. Sevilla became my second home. Before I arrived, I didn't speak Spanish at all, but after my stay, I could easily talk to anyone. Academically, it was a full success too! The food was simply incredible. A special thanks to Alvaro from CUI; he became a great friend for life. I am still in close contact with people from the university. If you want a life-changing experience with the best vibes, go to Sevilla! I miss the city and my friends every day.

My time at UPO

While it has been way longer than I would like to admit since I studied at UPO, I still miss it every day. I found my way there through my study abroad program through a combination of my university and a study abroad program called Centro MundoLengua. From the metro ride to campus, to the classes, and the extracurricular activites, everything at UPO helped me feel comfortable despite being so far from home. The university made a point to make international studentws feel welcome and help us meet local students.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
Two of the most surprising things that I did while at UPO were both joining clubs through the university. I joined a choir group and a Flamenco guitar club, which were way out of my element despite my love of music. I do not regret joining them for a second because they helped me grow closer to the university while making new friends, learning new things, and pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone.
Pros
  • Class options - challenging with options to learn and experience different thing
  • Extracurricular activities - the clubs and after-school events they would hold made my experience
  • Support - I had just as much support there as I did at my home university

English:
I was fortunate enough to study at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Seville, and I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful and formative experiences of my life.

From day one, I felt welcomed. The campus is modern, well-organized, and full of green spaces where you can study or simply hang out with friends. The atmosphere is youthful and international: I met people from all over Europe (and beyond), forming friendships that I still cherish today.

The courses are structured differently than many Italian universities: more classroom participation, group work, presentations, and direct interaction with the professors. This has helped me tremendously improve my Spanish and challenge myself, both academically and personally. The professors have always been available and attentive to international students.

Seville does the rest. Living in such a warm, vibrant, and culturally rich city makes everything even more special. Between classes in the morning and tapas in the evening, every day was unique.

I would recommend Universidad Pablo de Olavide to any student looking for an experience abroad: it's the perfect mix of academic quality, an international atmosphere, and a vibrant social life. I had a great time and would do it all again without a second thought.

What would you improve about this program?
