About Program
The Contemporary Music Center (CMC) in Nashville, Tennessee, is all about giving you hands-on experience in the music industry. Meet with industry professionals. Write songs and get critiques. Design stage plots like the pros. Mix and record. Sharpen your God-given talents with practice and performance.
At CMC, you'll experience a faith-based Christian community where you'll live with like-minded students and create music together in a facility that provides 24/7 access to world-class gear. All teaching faculty are active in the industry and use their real-world experiences to keep the program relevant and practical.
Choose one of three tracks: Artist, Business and Technical. In the Artist track, you'll write, record and perform; in Business, you'll manage, promote and market music; and in Tech you'll handle sound, lights, video, and more. At the end of the semester, a weeklong Road Tour will be your the final exam.
