Salary / Benefits
Earn a generous local salary in the range, starting from RMB 8,000 per month. That’s about AUD$1,700 and, along with free housing, more than enough to live like a king or queen in China!

You can earn much more than that (up to approximately RMB 20,000 per month) depending on your teaching experience and qualifications.

Salaries differ depending on where you're placed in China. For example, the bigger richer cities pay more but it's generally more expensive to live in those cities.

Hello Teacher

I chose to teach in china after speaking with Mike from Hello Teacher. Mike was very helpful in providing me with advice, stories from his experiences and expectations different things in china. He was always quick to respond to any questions I had and found me a great school that I am currently at in Hangzhou. After meeting a lot of other foreign teachers I genuinely feel like I was one of the lucky ones to go through Mike rather than some of the agencies that they have used. China has been so different in so many way s but I am enjoying the challenge and my working lifestyle is as good as I've ever had it as a teacher.
