This is my first abroad experience as well, i had a woderful time here. So many people from different countiries. Trainning experiance was awesome. We had a great teaching paractice and live teaching program at schools in Bankank was unforgetable one. I cant forget my tariner Ms.June and im so thankful to Mrs.Pak as she has given me great oppurtunity to participiate in this course. I earned a gud knowledge as well as fantastic fruends. Very useful course for better future in teaching

What would you improve about this program?

Best program

As a 57yr old woman leaving my country to go overseas for the first time was very scary but I am not looking back. Bangkok is an AWESOME place and the TEFL experience out of this world I would really encourage people of my age to do this It is REALLY not just for the young ones The siteseeing is out of this world...soooo much to see and to do and to learn about the Thai culture is very interesting

What would you improve about this program?

I would say they might extend the course with a week...4 week's instead of 3

It has been brilliant experience, i met new family. The course was absolutely fabulous, and it s my deep confession to the future participants in ACT TEFT programme. It absolutely enlightens and extends the shape of my eyes regarding teaching english all over the world. I would never ever forget this experience that have spent with some people from different countries who are now my second family, i will remember each one of them for sure.

What would you improve about this program?

Nothing to say, great one.

Coming to Bangkok was the best decision to do this TEFL coarse. Its very informative and it prepares you well how to teach English as a foreign language. June was a great trainer with alot of energy showing us and guidaning us with new ideas and information. Im looking forward to go amd explore Bangkok the people is very nice and helpful. Teaching the children i think is still a challenge but it wil be fun. I would suggest anyone thats interested to teach should join this coarse in bangkok. Its late night preparing yourself fornthe schools but the fun with the new friends that iv made from all over the world. Its sad to leave them at the end of the coarse you become close like a little Bangkok family. Its very warm in Bangkok but with alot of water and an aircon you will be good.

What would you improve about this program?

More teaching at schools instead of long hours in class. Practise makes perfect.

Thank you for all the help i would recomend it to every one that wants to teach in thailand do this course it really prepairs you for all the classes that you will be teaching and this course assists you.

Nothing

It was one fantastic experience. I learned so much. The course is definitely worth doing. Our trainer was so magnificent. I met people from all around the globe. Doing it in Bangkok is a amazing experience as the people are so friendly and always smiling. The accommodation was great and the staff at JL bangkok became like family. We learned some basic thai too, that helps you to survive. Ms Pak is an very generous lady always friendly and willing to help. I am glad I chose to do the ACT tefl in Bangkok, it is just great !!!

What would you improve about this program?

More practical lessons

Second day of practical

Good trainer and materials wound definitely recommend the TEFL course bangkok. Regardless of the heat and humidity the sunsets and cool sea will make up for it. Teaching here in Bangkok is about adapting to your surroundings and going with the flow. Enjoy what you do and be passionate to teach others it will be a waste. Take time to learn about the culture and mannerisms of the Thai people They are friendly and helpful.

Nothing keep up the good work

Thank you for all the support during this time. Keep up the good job. It was an amazing expierance. I would recomend it to everybody ecpiecally the 1st day of real teaching was amazing becasue of the course i was not scared to walk into a class room i knew what to do and how it must be done. Thank you for all the exprience thank for making sure that we got safely to the real teaching clases safetly.

Why did you choose this program?

To complete a course like TEFL opens the doors to being able to teach, travel and touch lives by giving back to the community. Teaching English to people in Thailand gives them the opportunity to use it to better themselves and the careers they end up deciding on doing one day. It will also allow you to travel in Thailand and also other neighboring Asian countries.

What did your program provider assist you with, and what did you have to organize on your own?

ACT took care of everything. The information received from ACT was clear and direct and throughout the 3 week course classes and the documentation used was easy to understand and easy to adapt to. After the course, if you did not want to work with any of the agents or schools they offered, you were able to reach out to schools and do your own interviews without any assistance of ACT.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

When they say be open minded, believe it. So many different nationalities in the class, all there for the same reason and wanting to be certified. Work together in your groups that you get in and give your 100% every time. Everything you do in class also count towards your certificate at the end of the day.

What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?

Class starts at 9am and goes through to 5pm. Sometimes the class does finish early, depending on how much work gets done during the day.

You have a lunch break and two 15min breaks throughout the day.

It is an intense course and you will be busy everyday; count on homework and out everything else on hold, focus on the course for 3 weeks times goes by very fast. Make friends and enjoy everyday.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

I have been traveling for many years now and to different countries with different language, food and culture; so far, Thailand was the best choice I ever made. I would probably say that the language is the biggest challenge and, if you are not fussy, then you won’t have an issue with the food.

The people are friendly and always willing to help. Because of the people, culture and sights to see in Thailand, it changed my perspective on wanting to be here to love being here.

If I get to Thailand and realize I made the biggest mistake of my life, what do I do?

Stick it out. Fear always comes in our way because we are out of our comfort zone; at the end, it will be so much more rewarding than if you would have given up and taken the easy way out. You will regret it for the rest of your life if you don’t stay, finish the course and spend some time in Thailand.
