Minnesota TEFL Course - depends on your own skills

With only 60 hours together over such a short time span (three weeks), a lot of the value depends on what you bring to the class prior to signing up. I was an English/Spanish major in university, so grammar, vocabulary, and style were familiar concepts to me and definitely made certain aspects of the course much easier. If you're comfortable with the general components of English, this course will be a great fit for you. You learn a lot about teaching to English learners of all ages, and the instructors that I met were passionate and enthusiastic about their work and always willing to discuss future job prospects and general inquiries. (They're also potentially a very good connection to places overseas, so work hard and keep that in mind.)

In summary:
- the course is short but packed with useful resources
- has fun, helpful instructors
- can be difficult and require more effort from those with no English grammar experience
- is respected as a decent TEFL certification program overseas
- has in-person class time, not just online (VERY IMPORTANT)

What would you improve about this program?
Having more practical application time (creating and performing lesson plans) is always helpful, but Oxford Seminars does well considering the timeframe of the program.
