About Program

Ghana has become the Gateway to Africa and you can get involved in one of these volunteer placements based in Accra whilst travelling Ghana at the weekends. Visit Cape Coast and the haunting Slave Castle, Busua, the Volta Delta area, the Canopy Walk, Kakum National Park...

The Ghanese are a very friendly, spiritual and beautiful people who will welcome you to their country and delight in having you involved in their projects.

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.

Yes, I recommend this program

Great experience!

Fulfilling and educational experience I would recommend to everyone :)

The school is a great project to educate, support and keep disadvantaged children safe. Teachers and volunteer staff are very supportive. Many opportunities to get involved and make a difference, great community within the school and with other volunteers.

Very nice and engaging students eager to learn and get insights into other countries and cultures.
