Volunteer in Ghana - Lowest Fees & Trusted Since 2003

This experience will be forever engraved in our hearts. This is our first family volunteering experience and even though my kids are 3 and 5, they had a great time and I think the impact that they made with the kids of the orphanage and school was more important than adults. I hope more families do so as the benefit is wonderful on the whole family and the program .
The hosting family were very kind and helpful and my kids love going back home to play with them.
We helped at school by teaching French, fixing the volleyball field as well as the basketball field, we got them some new balls and played during free time. We helped the teachers with the midterm exams. And most importantly connected with some kids to inspire them for a better future.
I think it was a very successful trip :)

Very touching experience. However I find that the organization should give more of the registration fee to the host family as they did not have enough budget to serve the volunteers a lot of food. The host family were amazing people but they really need more money from the organization in my opinion. I paid a lot for this trip and most of it did not go to the host family only a small part which I find unfair.

It was a great experience for me in Ghana. Franklin and his family were very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. The nurses went out of their way to make sure that I had a fruitful learning experience about Ghana Healthcare system: * case study of malaria, typhoid, * using sphygmomanometer, * learning how to measure maturity of fetus stomach, * learning presentation of the fetus located the head, gender, cardiac activity, * using the programme to find gestational age from diameter of the head and femur length, etc. Furthermore, it was my unforgettable experience in Ghana with rich culture and cuisine. Thanks to Global Crossroad and their staffs for making my stay in Ghana very pleasant. I would highly recommend volunteering with Global Crossroad.

I had an awesome experience with Global Crossroad. Both the US based operations and the Ghana field staff were outstanding. Country Coordinator and The Field Liaison were both responsive and efficient! They went out of their way to ensure the volunteers had a great overall experience and no complaints. They even went above and beyond. I participated in the Easter Convention and visited Richard's farm house. Franklin also helped to coordinate the hotel options for me after my volunteering program. I was travelling around Ghana after my program; both Franklin and Richard would call me every few days to ensure everything was okay with me and to make sure if I made my way back home, safely. The attention to details and ensuring I had a complete experience was overwhelming.

I was worried about getting my visa however the staffs were so helpful, informed and supportive that I had no problem at all. Country Coordinator was very helpful and even wrote me a personalized letter of invitation to help expedite the visa processing.
Once I arrived in Ghana, Franklin was there to greet me and make me feel comfortable. He made sure I felt comfortable, answered any questions I had, and was in constant communication for the duration of my stay. I felt very comfortable and loved by the host family and really enjoyed being emerging in the Ghanaian culture more fully through them.
Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of the individuals working for this company-in both their corporate office and their contact in Ghana. I did a lot of research before deciding to volunteer through Global Crossroad. I was very satisfied with my decision. I would love to continue volunteering through this company. I highly recommend volunteering with Global Crossroad :)
