YOU CAN CAMP IT

Experience of a life time! I am so glad I decided to join this program. I have met such wonderful people and learned so many new things. I got to share time with children who taught me about their culture, as well as connecting with people from all over the world. It was the first trip by myself and I even got to share my passion of dancing by teaching to the kids. I am super thankful for the opportunity I was given. If anyone ever gets the chance to join please do it, it will change your life.

You Can Camp

I would wholeheartedly recommend You Can Camp (YCC). I have been a participant of YCC since the very beginning and have first hand witnessed their development of this organisation while maintaining the integrity, brevity and intelligence with which it was founded. They are trustworthy, experienced, and most importantly, kind. It’s a sure way to an impactful, cultural exchange experience.

I would recommend this program to anyone who loves kids and loves adventures abroad. It’s a great way to add a meaningful experience to one’s Italian trip. The meals they serve you are amazing (no duh, it's Italy) and the local Italians are the friendliest people (honestly). I am friends with many of the Italian and foreign volunteers and keep in contact with them today.

  • Exciting
  • Self-enhancing

Fantastic Opportunity

This opportunity is a great chance to only have a bit of a language exchange but to be surrounded by the Italian language. You have the opportunity to teach English youth, fully immerse them with the use of English but also to be around native speakers. Especially when they may not normally have the opportunity to hear or practice English with native speakers. I had an absolutely great experience where there was an unlimited amount of materials for me to use with the children. The only reason why I give a four for facilities was because I was not used to the close proximity of the toilet and the shower in the bathroom in my suite. They were basically right next to each other, with no stall. But that is something minor and something I was completely able to live with during the kids camp. You have immense support from the kind staff. They are very well prepared for everything. The food is AMAZING!!!!!! And I truly cannot wait to return.

Pros
  • Meeting people from around the world
  • Being a part of youth enjoyment and excitement while practicing and learning English
  • Absolutely deliciously authentic Italian food
Cons
  • Don’t expect to live in a luxury hotel
  • Italian summer heat can be a scorcher. Must be prepared with the right clothing and bug spray! Mosquitos love you. No A/C.
