About Program

Thailand is a top choice if you’re looking for a year-round sunny climate, tropical beaches, and exotic wildlife wrapped up in a budget-friendly destination. On our Elephant Rescue & Rehabilitation trip, you’ll be making a difference while enjoying everything Thailand has to offer.

You’ll be volunteering in a combination of Thai mountains and lush jungles. You’ll be fully involved in the exotic wildlife of Thailand, helping conservation groups care for elephants that were rescued from illegal trade and poachers so you’ll spend your days doing structured duties like feeding elephants and improving their living conditions. Your evenings and weekends are duty-free, giving you plenty of time to explore this amazing country.

Which means Full Moon Parties, tropical beaches, temples and history, delicious food, and a whole lot of other adventurous travellers to meet and explore with!

Elephant rehabilitation volunteer

Hey, I’m Sonya and I have recently volunteered at a elephant rehabilitation centre in Chiang Mai Thailand.
I had the best time ever, such a once in a lifetime experience which I’m so grateful that I had this opportunity, it changed my life. I met so many amazing people who are now my life friends. Volunteering at the sanctuary with the elephants was such great fun, learning about the animals and understanding how these animals have been treated historically and now because of the sanctuary and the work that is being done to protect the elephants is incredible and inspiring. I would recommend anyone that is thinking about doing such an amazing thing to definitively do it, you will love it and will never forget the experience.. I would like to thank the staff from Global for being so kind and friendly, and very helpful

Trunks and Tails

This trip was a blessing to me and every time I think/or talk about it, I’m filled with pure joy! From giving cuddles to cats and dogs, to syringe feeding small kittens, to monkeys swinging in the trees above me, to the local people and their kindness, to the many mosquito bites, to the vibrations I felt through the floor when I knew an elephant was near, to holding my hand out and letting an elephant breathe in my scent, to the shovelling of poop and much much more…Recommend this highly!!🙏🏽💫🌴🐾🐘

Pros
  • Making a difference to animals in need
  • Education and understanding the culture
  • Conservation, exploring, shooting stars, beautiful precious moments with animals and people!
Cons
  • Mosquito bites
  • Leeches in the jungle
  • Not staying long enough!
