The very first section already gave a detailed introduction to China’s general situation as well as cultural differences, which I found extremely helpful.

For example, when I arrived in China, I realized that I was the only student in my Chinese language class who already knew the emergency numbers in China —such as the police, ambulance, and even the fire emergency number. This was something clearly covered during the orientation. Even though China is a very safe country and there is no need for concern for Europeans or foreigners who have never been there, I still think it is excellent that the organization made sure we understood these basic things in advance.
