The team is remarkably responsible, proactive, and dedicated to supporting you every step of the way. Whenever I had a question or concern, they addressed it promptly and attentively, giving me complete peace of mind. Their guidance made the entire preparation process seamless and stress-free. I am very happy I discovered Cerca and got an internship in Thessaloniki. This experience has been both academically enriching and personally fulfilling. It allowed me to improve my laboratory skills and explore a new culture. Traveling to a different country and meeting people from various backgrounds was amazing! I enjoyed going out daily and hanging out, and I found the night culture in Greece to be completely different from what I’m used to, which I enjoyed. I also was able to take weekend trips to Croatia, Athens, and Crete, which was my first time outside the US.

The organization was perfect! I got picked up and I met such amazing people and had the best experience of my life and grew so much as a person. I experienced so many new places such as islands and places around Athens. I made super good connected with the PT team in Athens and I am still connected on Instagram with them. I genuinely think this was the best experience I’ve ever had. I had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish! Everyone was welcoming, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was perfect. The attention to detail and friendly atmosphere made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. I couldn't have asked for better service, and the quality exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience, and I can't wait to come back again!

My internship at the Hellenic University in Greece was a deeply rewarding experience that combined technical engineering work with meaningful personal growth. Over the course of the program, I contributed to the development of a custom drone system and helped map the surrounding campus buildings, a project that pushed me to expand both my practical skills and my problem‑solving abilities.

Working on the drone itself gave me hands‑on exposure to assembling components, integrating sensors, and troubleshooting hardware and software challenges. I became more confident working with flight controllers, GPS modules, and imaging systems, and I gained a clearer understanding of how these elements come together to form a functional UAV. Using the drone for mapping introduced me to photogrammetry and geospatial analysis, allowing me to transform aerial imagery into usable maps and 3D models. This blend of engineering and data processing made the project especially engaging.

The environment at Hellenic University played a major role in shaping the experience. I collaborated with supportive researchers and students who encouraged curiosity, experimentation, and teamwork. Their guidance helped me grow more comfortable taking initiative and contributing ideas to the project.

Beyond the technical work, living in Greece added an unforgettable dimension to the internship. Immersing myself in a new culture, adapting to a different pace of life, and exploring the local surroundings broadened my perspective and strengthened my independence.

Overall, the internship was a valuable step in my academic and professional development. It solidified my interest in drone technology and mapping applications, gave me practical experience I can build on, and offered a cultural experience that made the entire journey even more meaningful.

My internship in Greece was a truly refreshing and enriching experience. I met many new people, learned a lot about myself, and gathered valuable insights along the way. The overall atmosphere was positive, and the team made me feel welcome from the very first day. The company fosters a friendly and open environment where interns can grow both personally and professionally, and communication was always clear and supportive.

One thing that could make the experience even better would be a stronger focus on practical work. My tasks were mostly theoretical, and more hands-on activities would have added even greater value. Despite this, I genuinely enjoyed my time there and appreciate everything I learned.

They were very organized and so helpful! I felt very safe the entire time and was accommodated for all my needs on my first solo travel! I had a great experience at my clinical rotations as well. They were very flexible and supportive of tourism. Exploring the country and its many islands were easy and cheap! The food was amazing and people were very welcoming. I never felt unsafe on public transportation or on the streets of Greece. My internship team was dedicated to my safety and well being during this trip!

My internship at Metropolitan General Hospital in Athens was truly an unforgettable experience. I had the rare opportunity to observe numerous surgeries across various specialties, including cardiovascular, orthopedic, neurological, and plastic surgery. Being able to witness such a wide range of procedures gave me valuable insight into medical practices that I wouldn’t typically have access to in the U.S.

Beyond the hospital, I was able to explore the beautiful country of Greece, meet incredible new friends from around the world, and immerse myself in a different culture. The connections I made—both professionally and personally—were incredibly meaningful, and this experience has greatly expanded my perspective on healthcare and global medicine.

Overall, this internship not only enriched my medical knowledge but also gave me memories and relationships I’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Intern Abroad HQ and Circa Abroad did a really good job with coordination and making sure I felt safe. Intern abroad HQ, however, I feel, did not advertise the actual content of the internship very well. I was under the impression that I would mostly be working with your own hardware and learn things about aerodynamics and mechanics, while in actuality, I mostly had experience during this in software-based programs. I would recommend interning in Thessaloniki, because it is a beautiful city, very walkable, and somewhat tight-knit.
