Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in a related major
- At least two years full-time teaching experience (not including student teaching in public or independent schools)
- Strong communication abilities including speaking and writing
- A friendly, patient personality; sensitive to the needs of a diverse group of students
- Passionate about teaching and dedicated to student outcomes
- Wide-ranging intellectual and educational interests and ability to commit to a creative, integrated curriculum
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Teaching visual arts, drama and English to Grade 9 to 12 in AP program(s);
Teaching classes of about 20 students in the context of an integrated curriculum
Increasing the skills set of high school students to further understand performing arts concepts
Participating fully in the demanding and rich life of the school, particularly in preparation for school events and extra-curricular activities
Keeping careful anecdotal and assessment records and using them to write accurate, comprehensive reports
Providing additional support at school promotional activities
Working Hours:
Summer and Winter holiday;
Weekend off and official holidays in China;
20 teaching hours at most every week with 8 office hours every day.
