English as a second Language Teacher for students from the ages of 3 up to adults.

Shields English Academy is an Irish run language academy based in Pegalajar, a town 10 minutes outside the city of Jaén in the south of Spain. We are looking for a new English language teacher for the next school year (starting September 2021).

The job is suited to someone who is looking for work experience teaching English or to someone who wants immersion in the Spanish language (as most people here speak very little English).

The next school year will only be the academies third year open, however we are slowly growing and we need an English teacher to teach in the afternoons (a minimum of 3 hours, twice a week). In return we can organise your accommodation and contribute 160 euro monthly to rent/expenses. Also a basic salary will be provided depending on the classes taught, (minimum 50 euro a week for 6 hours teaching). If a candidate wished to earn more there is opportunity to increase teaching hours (any extra classes taught after the minimum 6 hours will be payed at 10 euro an hour).

One hour from the only ski resort in the south of Spain (Sierra Nevada-yes there is a ski resort in the south of Spain!). One hour from some of Spains most beautiful beaches, so you have the best of both worlds-ski in winter, beach weekends in summer!
