Ich war drei Wochen lang in Kunming an der Keats School. Angekommen bin ich ohne jegliche Sprachkenntnisse, nach drei Wochen habe ich HSK1 erreicht (und bin sehr nah an HSK2).

Kunming hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Im Gegensatz zu den großen, bekannten Städten Chinas ist es hier viel entspannter. Die Einheimischen sind aufgeschlossen und freundlich, außerdem spricht fast niemand Englisch. Mir hat das sehr geholfen, da ich dadurch mein neues Wissen sofort verwenden konnte. Im Notfall hat aber natürlich sowieso jeder eine Übersetzungsapp. Schön an Kunming ist auch die wunderschöne Natur und die Nähe zu Städten wie Dali, sodass man am Wochenende gut die Gegend erkunden kann.

Die Schule ist gut strukturiert, mit hellen Klassenzimmern und vielfältigen Kursangeboten wie Kleingruppenunterricht oder Einzelstunden. Ich habe zusätzlich auch Kalligraphieunterricht genommen, der mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Die Lehrmaterialien sind aufeinander abgestimmt, und das Personal kümmert sich zuverlässig um alle organisatorischen Belange. Abends gibt es vielfältige Angebote für alle SchülerInnen. So lernt man - wenn man möchte - die anderen SchülerInnen näher kennen.

Meine Lehrkraft war absolut genial. Der Unterricht war exakt auf mein Niveau und meine Bedürfnisse angepasst. Am Anfang war Chinesisch für mich ein absolutes Rätsel, aber meine Lehrkraft konnte mir wirklich jede meiner zahlreichen Fragen beantworten. Ganz ehrlich, ich werde den Unterricht wirklich vermissen! Ich hätte mir keinen besseren Start ins Lernen wünschen können.

Ich empfehle die Schule allen, die solide Chinesischkenntnisse in einer immersiven Umgebung erwerben wollen.

The experience at Keats Kunming campus was great because it is a complete package: everything from arrival to accomodation and social activities is arranged by the school, so you can focus on learning and improving your Chinese.

Intensive teaching really helped me advance and make progress in my language skills. The 1:1 environment allowed to tailor to my interests and focus on my learning gaps.

The school is very supportive and there are also a lot of opportunities to meet others and have a great time while learning.

My stay at Keats School was an unforgettable experience. I improved my Chinese every day through engaging classes, patient teachers, and constant practice with classmates from different countries. The supportive environment made learning enjoyable and boosted my confidence in speaking Mandarin. The cultural activities, local excursions, and opportunities to interact with native speakers helped me understand both the language and Chinese culture. The staff was always friendly and willing to help. I would highly recommend Keats School to anyone who wants to learn Chinese in an immersive, welcoming, and motivating environment. It was truly a life-changing journey that exceeded expectations.

Kunming Keats is an amazing experience! The staff is kind and the rooms have amazing views of the city. The community that is fostered here is beautiful and welcoming. The rooms have everything you would need and they have air conditioning. The food is free on weekdays and the takeout comes directly to the building. Some times I like to just walk around the building and take in the sites.The weather and pastries of Kunming were my favorite ❤️ the famous flower cakes are too die for—I would love to visit again sometime soon!

ก่อนที่จะมาเรียนที่โรงเรียนนี้ ได้มีการดูรีวิวของโรงเรียนต่าง ๆ มา แต่สุดท้ายก็ตัดสินใจมาเรียนที่ Keats School บอกตรง ๆ ว่าไม่ผิดหวังเลยค่ะ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเรื่องของความสะดวกสบาย เพราะห้องเรียนและที่พักอยู่ในตึกเดียวกัน อาหารการกินก็มีครบ 3 มื้อต่อวัน (จันทร์-ศุกร์) ส่วนคุณครูเป็นเจ้าของภาษาโดยตรงและมีเทคนิคการสอนที่ดีมาก ๆ จากตอนแรกที่ตั้งใจจะมาเรียนเพื่อสอบให้ผ่าน HSK 4 ผมเปลี่ยนเป้าหมายมาสอบ HSK 5 แทน ซึ่งใช้ระยะเวลาเพียงแค่ 1 เดือนก็สอบผ่าน ต้องขอบคุณเทคนิคดี ๆ จากคุณครูมากเลยค่ะ ทั้งนี้ทั้งนั้นก็ขึ้นอยู่กับความขยันของตัวเองด้วยที่ต้องหมั่นทบทวนสิ่งที่เรียนทุกวัน ถ้าตั้งใจสอบผ่านแน่นอนค่ะ อ่อก่อนอื่นต้องบอกเป้าหมายกับการเรียนกับโรงเรียนก่อน แล้วทางโรงเรียนจะออกแบบการเรียนให้กับเหมาะกับเรา อีกสิ่งหนึ่งที่ลืมไม่ได้เลยคือ เจ้าหน้าที่และครูที่ปรึกษาที่คอยช่วยเหลือประสานงานในเรื่องต่าง ๆ ทั้งเรื่องการเรียนและการใช้ชีวิตประจำวัน รวมถึงพี่ ๆ แม่บ้านที่คอยทำความสะอาดที่พักให้ ดูแลดีมาก ๆ ขอบคุณทุกคนจากใจจริงครับ สำหรับคุนหมิงเป็นเมืองที่ดีมาก อากาศดีตลอดทั้งปี ผมชอบมาก ผู้คนก็น่ารักและต้อนรับชาวต่างชาติอย่างดี ไปไหนมาไหนก็เดินทางสะดวกสบาย I LOVE KUNMING <3

Before coming to study at this school, I looked at reviews of various schools, but in the end decided to study at Keats School. Honestly, I have no regrets at all - whether it's the convenience, since the classrooms and accommodation are in the same building, meals are provided 3 times a day (Monday-Friday), and the teachers are native speakers with really great teaching techniques. Originally I intended to study to pass HSK 4, but I changed my goal to HSK 5 instead, and it only took 1 month to pass. I really have to thank the teachers for their great techniques. That said, it also depends on your own diligence in reviewing what you've learned every day - if you're committed, you'll definitely pass. Oh, and first you need to tell the school your learning goals, and then the school will design a study plan suited to you. Another thing I can't forget to mention is the staff and academic advisors who helped coordinate everything, both study-related and daily life matters, as well as the housekeeping staff who cleaned the accommodation - they took very good care of us. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart. As for Kunming, it's a really great city, the weather is good all year round, I loved it. The people are lovely and welcoming to foreigners, and getting around is very convenient. I LOVE KUNMING <3

I arrived in Kunming with a solid foundation in Chinese. After just a two-week course, I have noticed significant improvements in my listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
My teachers, Ms. Peng and Ms. Du, designed personalized lessons tailored specifically to my weak areas, which greatly enhanced my overall language proficiency. Furthermore, knowing about my passion for archaeology (especially bronze artifacts) Ms. Peng even organized a lesson at the Yunnan Provincial Museum and personally acted as my guide to ensure I got the most out of the experience.

Additionally, twice a week in the afternoons, I took calligraphy lessons with Master Su. This was a wonderful opportunity to learn the basics of this beautiful art and to watch a true master at work.

The school's dormitories and classrooms are conveniently located in the same building, set in a very pleasant and well-maintained environment. Upon my arrival, the staff met me at the airport holding a 'KEATS' sign and provided comprehensive support for absolutely everything I needed. Living in Kunming also allowed me to experience the region's unique and vibrant local ethnic culture. Kunming boasts an excellent transportation network, making it incredibly convenient to both explore the city and travel to nearby areas of cultural and natural interest. I took full advantage of this over the weekends to visit the ancient towns of Dali and Xizhou, as well as the breathtaking Puzhehei scenic area.

Overall, it was an incredible learning experience, and I look forward to studying at other Keats locations in the future!

I had an amazing learning experience in this language program. The school boasts a pleasant and appealing campus environment that I really love.
I would like to give my highest praise to Teacher Li. She is extremely gentle, patient and professional in every class. She always listens carefully to my speaking issues, patiently corrects my pronunciation and expression mistakes without any rush, and builds a relaxing classroom atmosphere, empowering me to speak up freely without worrying about making errors.
My primary goal during this course was to improve my oral English. Thanks to Teacher Li’s targeted speaking exercises and personalized daily guidance, I made remarkable progress as early as the fourth day. I can express my thoughts more fluently, structure sentences more logically and react in conversations much quicker than before.
This meaningful progress greatly boosted my confidence in daily communication and laid a solid foundation for my future language learning. I am truly grateful for Teacher Li’s meticulous teaching and constant encouragement. I highly recommend this program and Teacher Li to anyone eager to make effective improvements in oral English.
The school is situated in Kunming, known as the Spring City. The sky is nearly always clear blue and the city stays clean. Although there has been a bit more rainfall these two days, the overall climate remains pleasant and livable. I have fallen in love with this city and definitely plan to visit again in the future.
This has been a totally worthwhile and unforgettable learning journey! I have already recommended both the school and Teacher Li to my Italian friend wholeheartedly.

As a person who already lives in China, I knew I needed to find an intensive learning environment in order for me to improve my Chinese. I chose to come to Keats' Kunming campus for two weeks after doing thorough research on the other programs available in China. Because I wanted to focus on improving my speaking and listening ability, I chose Keats' 1:1, 4-hour, daily lessons for the summer.

I am thoroughly satisfied with the quality of instruction available at Keats. From the moment I landed in Kunming, I felt welcomed and supported if I needed anything. Regarding instruction, from the first day, my teacher was immediately gauging my Chinese level as well as my goals that I had for learning in my two-week period of living at the school. My teacher Li老师 was amazing because she listened to my concerns when it came to learning Chinese, and she also made sure that she was listening to how I use the language in order to give me advice to reach those goals.

Not only was every lesson adapted to my goals for my time here (including in-depth speaking, practice and focused, listening, practice to improve my ability to use Chinese in my daily life), but my teacher also listened out for speaking habits that I had and made sure to correct them in order to help me improve my spoken Chinese. She is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and was amazing in supporting me every step of the way!

Along with the daily language courses, I also took a 2-hour Guzheng class 2x a week that the school offered. As someone rhythmically challenged, the teacher was extremely patient with me and helped me learn a lot about Guzheng as well about the musical notation used for it. The advisors also helped schedule my classes, and when I felt unwell, they offered for me to shorten the class or even to reschedule it for a time that could work better when I recovered.

Additionally, even though I did not go to many of the offered activities, every student that I spoke to about the activities enjoyed them. Everyone that studies at Keats is very open and eager to make friends so you can always build a friend group and do activities that the school offers or go on your own and explore Kunming. Additionally, if you prefer being alone, you can also do that as well. The dorm rooms are quiet and whenever it's not meal times, the library room or the dining area are perfect for self-study or even co-working.

Honestly, I think anyone that wants to come to China in order to improve their Chinese, or to have an environment in a Chinese city that allows you to learn as much as you can in an intensive classroom setting, should choose Keats. I think this school is definitely worth the money, and everyone from the teachers to the advisors here wants you to succeed and improve to the level that you are aiming for. I look forward to future classes at Keats at their different campuses around China.
