Learn Mandarin in China - Group Chinese courses with XMandarin

I had a really good experience at XMandarin in Hangzhou. The classes are well-organized, the teachers are patient and friendly, and the staff (shoutout to Teresa!) are super supportive and always quick to help with anything. The school has a welcoming atmosphere, which makes a big difference when you're learning a challenging language like Chinese. The lessons strike a nice balance between grammar, vocabulary, and speaking practice, so you actually feel yourself improving week by week. The location is also convenient, right in the city. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, I'd definitely recommend XMandarin to anyone looking to study Mandarin in Hangzhou!

I am very satisfied about the XMandarin School, the school met my needs (overcome the difference in learning the characters), and satisfied my requests (finding teachers that could in small groups or individuals, help me improve my level). I was offered a course in a small group for 3 day a week, integrating the other days with individual lessons on my specific problem.

The teachers in the individual lessons do their best to help me to memorize and recognize characters, and even in the small group, the teacher is very motivating. At the beginning of the lessons, we do a little dictation on the new words (I really appreciate this activity, and also the fact that are not too many new words to learn), it would be too tiring and I would lose motivation!!

1. Helping me learn Chinese (including the characters).
2. Having classes in the morning.
3. Learning special texts I am interested to learn.

I'm also glad that, different to the universities, XMandarin offers courses for all ages, making it possible for me to come to China and enjoy the learning.

Finally, I would recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn properly Chinese!!

I took both private and group lessons at XMandarin in Qingdao. I really enjoyed the dual track of having two methods: one private HSK 4 course and a more ‘spoken language’ course in a group class.

The combination resulted in rapid development. The teachers were skilled and the learning atmosphere was relaxed while encouraging at the same time. The school was also a great place to connect with other students.

After just four weeks i gained a lot of speaking confidence. If you’re looking for a tailored Mandarin course, this is a good one.

I’ve had a wonderful experience at this Chinese language school! The lessons were extremely useful, engaging, and never boring. What really made a difference for me was the teaching method: the classes are highly interactive, and new vocabulary is always introduced within a real-world context. The school's approach is quite immersive. I studied on the Hangzhou campus, where I was impressed by the team's welcome and teaching style. There's very little pure theory: the focus is more on oral practice through real-life situations. The teachers regularly correct pronunciation. It's sometimes frustrating in the moment, but incredibly effective! Thanks to that, I can finally follow a basic conversation with my neighbors or local shopkeepers without feeling completely lost. Plus, the campus is really well located, so you can go out right after class to practice in real conditions and enjoy the beauty of Hangzhou. I've been studying at XMandarin in Qingdao for a few weeks now and I'm very satisfied. The school is conveniently located in the city center, with a subway station nearby, so it's easy to get to. Inside, there's a pleasant atmosphere and everything necessary for comfortable classes

My teacher is Jesse. She is very attentive, patient, and genuinely interested in the student achieving results. From the very first lesson, she understood my level and goals, and selected suitable materials. If something isn't working, she explains it in different ways until it becomes clear. The lessons include a lot of conversational practice, while also covering grammar and character writing

Taking group Chinese classes here was one of the best decisions I made while studying abroad! The teachers are patient, knowledgeable, and make learning fun. Classes are interactive, with plenty of group activities that really boost speaking confidence. I improved my pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar faster than I expected. I’m happy for choosing XMandarin, place where you meet many interesting, open-minded people. Management staff is very supportive and with you through all your journey. Classes are enjoyable and practical. I enjoy learning Chinese here and can see a progress. I choose facilities in Qingdao, which is a beautiful city, where mountains meets the sea. You will find many fun activities and opportunities to practice Chinese. It’s a lifetime experience.
