120 Hour Advanced TEFL Course with TEFL Nomad

This course was incredibly user friendly and instructive of not only how to to equipped as an EFL teacher, but also how to be apply care and protection to those you will be teaching in a safe setting. The topics are clear, and the information regarding student ability, expectations and different ways of consuming knowledge is illuminating. Diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding and temperament management are all essentially touched upon, and leave the EFL student feeling accomplished and adequate to begin teaching. I enjoyed this course! I will be using what I have learned to teach in Hanoi, Vietnam and am very excited to get started!

I thought that this course was useful and helpful, as it provided specific modules and sections on topics like Lesson Planning and Teaching Young Learners, as well as going into detail on grammar and how to teach the different aspects of grammar. In this way, this course was practical and provided a good grounding in the foundational elements of TEFL.

Additionally, the way that the course was broken up into smaller chunks, with the podcast episodes and examples of work in between, meant that it remained interesting throughout, rather than there being long pages of text for example.

I learned a significant amount about the ins and outs of teaching English! It has prepared me substantially for when I teach English in Hong Kong. The content was detailed, with numerous modules which are all extremely useful for beginners in particular. Furthermore, Jamie's podcasts were so useful. One stand out for me was the wide-array of materials I can draw upon when I finally start teaching abroad! Without TEFL Nomad's help, I wouldn't be able to start my teaching English journey in Hong Kong!

This course has been fantastic from start to finish. I remained engaged throughout and was able to complete it at a pace of my choosing which allowed me to integrate it into my day. The podcasts from James were a great addition and it was helpful to have the insight of someone who has experienced teaching abroad. I am now much more confident in my ability to teach English as a foreign language and I look forward to applying everything I have learnt to my teaching in China. This course has opened the world of teacher to me.

Great course which offers a meticulously structured and detailed overview of essential knowledge that has me feeling prepared to teach in front of a class of students from a variety of ages and backgrounds.

The course uses a well-rounded teaching approach by allowing you to utilise different learning styles from content including podcasts, in-depth explanations, quizzes and worksheets, and more. I've also gained great inspiration for my own inevitable lesson planning.

I found this course to be both thorough and well-researched overall. There was a lot of information that was presented, but it was conveyed in a simplistic, holistic, and understandable manner that impressed me. I particularly enjoyed the mini-podcasts with James throughout the course, because he added insights from a standpoint of a veteran teacher. His shared anecdotes and advice were engaging as well as very helpful to me, seeing as I am going to be a first time teacher after acquiring this certification. I would highly recommend this course to anybody who is thinking about developing their skills in teaching English, especially those who are considering going abroad. I feel much more prepared and ready to meet the challenges that await me!

I completed this TEFL course in order to secure a job overseas in Vietnam. Having a TEFL certification opens up so many doors for native English speakers to work abroad. Once you have a TEFL you can work almost anywhere! This course had an easy-to-use platform, was extremely organized, and provided good examples that demonstrated classroom activities well. It is a straightforward way to get TEFL certified. I am excited to being my work abroad! Hopefully, I will be able to use the knowledge that I gained through this course.
