AUC offers a truly unique experience that I highly recommend to any student looking to study abroad. The campus itself is beautiful, with well maintained facilities and plenty of opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities. My peers in the classroom have been extremely helpful and welcoming, which has made my transition to the school very smooth. Cairo is an amazing city with a distinct charm I will surely miss when I leave. The international students program offers free trips at the beginning of the semester to landmarks in the area. I have also had the opportunity to explore other parts of Egypt through trips with international students.

Studying Arabic at AUC has been a worthwhile experience. My level of Arabic is very high. Therefore, I was quite worried that I would not find a class level that would suit me. Luckily I was allocated to a course that fits my level perfectly. My professor has been very supportive and helpful. Arabic professors at AUC are in general highly approachable, even on weekends and at late hours in the evenings! My Arabic class was merely constituted of four students including me. Therefore, the working atmosphere was highly comfortable.
All in all, I managed to further improve my Arabic language skills.

The most preferred place in ACU is the garden it is an amazing place to spend your time in for studying or having a break.

I can recommend studying abroad at the American University in Cairo. The level of the courses are challenging, the campus is beautiful, and the faculty and staff is friendly and helpful. The university offers a lot of cultural events that provide interesting learning opportunities outside of the classrooms. The IPSO in particular, offers great support to all the international students and is always available to help solving whatever problem you have.

Regarding the housing situation, however, I would recommend not to stay in New Cairo. Cairo is such a dynamic, exciting, and diverse place - these experiences get lost in New Cairo, according to my opinion. Even though commuting can be tough, try to stay around the city center to learn as much as you can about the country you're living in, the culture, and the language!

This program and experience has truly been a remarkable experience. It has opened my eyes to the world of the Middle East and allowed me to immerse my self in the cultures of the Middle East. I have made many great friends that I will be able to stay in touch with after the program has finished. Additionally, I have been able to experience living in a country outside of the United States, as I this is something I want to do in the future. I would full recommend this program to anyone who wants to gain real experience within the Middle East and get outside of their comfort zone.

I love studying at AUC. the community is very welcoming. it definitely required some time to adjust to the different culture but everyone was so helpful and kind. The campus is beautiful and the business school professors are really fantastic. I made really great friends here. The city of Cairo has so much to offer and see. We were able to go different adventures every weekend. There is also so many beautiful cities outside of Cairo you can spend your weekends in. AUC is a really great and safe place to study.

This has been a trip I will never forget! The business school has been everything I expected. The faculty are lovely and really work for students to understand. The program teaches business to students in order to compete across the world. With the information being taught, AUC is fully prepared to produce the world’s next generation of business leaders. This can drastically impact the economy and markets of not only Egypt, but that of North Africa and the Middle East. I’m excited to study here one again.

My abroad experience was satisfying I accomplished all what I expected. The housing was on campus and my roommates were lovely and I still keep in contact with them. I loved the courses since they were different from what I was used to and I expected them to be all in Arabic but it was actually a mix between Arabic and English. I would recommend this to all people who are trying to flourish their knowledge of Egypt and I would recommend to take courses that study the culture in depth since it was not as I expected

I would recommend this experience as much for academic excellence as for the campus structures which are incredible.
Professors are are very attentive and there is an very various possibility of courses in every domain ! There is also plenty of conferences, art shops and sport possibilities ! The sport complex is huge and the life in the dorms looks very confortable

AUC life is one of the best. I had so much fun there and I meet really good and new friends. some of them are international and others are egyption. the experience itself is new for me. going around, traveling, and discovering new places is actually my hobby so I love being here to do more and more.
life on campus is really good too especially at night, the atmosphere and the light, and everything is amazing. I love to walk on the campus at night just to relax a bit. and in the morning staying in the garden to have some fresh air.
