The best study abroad I could of ever asked for!

CEA French Riviera is the absolute best program you can choose for study abroad. First things first, you get to live in Antibes, which is the yacht capital or Europe, and one of the most gorgeous coastal towns on the French Riviera. Think about it, how many people get to say they did that! If your there at the right time of year, you can go to class in the morning, and go to the beach in the Afternoon! Antibes is a short train ride away from many other destinations in the area such as Nice, Monaco, Cannes, and Grass, not to mention all the other little Eagle nest villages to visit in your spare time.

This program puts you at one of the best business school's in Europe (SKEMA), where you will have professors from all over the globe teach your classes.

The absolute best part of this program is the onsite director Kristen. Kristen will be there for you every step of the way, I have never met such a nice and caring person in my life. She ensures that you have a comfortable transition into the semester, and takes you on many different excursions. She is truly an expert on the area. Kristen also host many onsite activities such as Wine Tasting.

You truly cannot go wrong with this program! Trust me you'll be glad you spent your semester abroad in Antibes!

What would you improve about this program?
I would just improve the relationship between Skema and CEA.

CEA Excursions in 3 words: Veni, vidi, vici

🚨SPOILER ALERT 🚨 I came;I saw; I conquered Florence, Italy with CEA. My experience with CEA excursions was perfect! In the Summer of 2018 I explored a winery in Tuscany and ate from a selection of local meats & cheeses and fresh bread with Tuscany famous olive oil! I drank delicious wine from the vineyard with friends from my study abroad and intern classes with CEA. On top of all that I got to experience the beautiful city of Milan, Italy. Where we saw the famous 3rd largest Catholic Church in the World and Also visit the Famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and many more amazing sites for a weekend! Highly recommend for anyone interested in food, art and new adventures!

Study outside the classroom with CEA Study abroad!

I studied abroad in the Summer of 2018, I throughly enjoyed my experience! I took The culture of Food and Wine course and learned through excursions and classroom discussions. My professor was not only professional but knowledgeable about the local & National Italy cuisine and wine! She took us to food markets, gelaterias and many more. I really enjoyed learning how to pair food and wine. I highly recommend to anyone whose interested in learning about the history of food and wine in Italy to check out this program!

I studied abroad in Florence, Italy in the Summer of 2018 and learned so much about the local cuisine and wine through excursions and classroom discussions. I took The Culture of Food & Wine and was blown away by how professional the professor was and how knowledgeable she us on the subject. Why you need to Intern abroad in Florence with CEA!

I interned abroad with CEA in the Summer of 2018 and it was such a wonderful experience! I was a Marketing Intern for an International Cooking School called CheFactory. I experienced the life of local Italians, from being part of the local culture, to trying many Italian dishes! But, most importantly I found a family at Chefactory and learned so much from my mentor Francesco. The type of knowledge and exposure you receive interning abroad is unlike anything else, especially with CEA! Highly recommended! To learn more about my experience check out my blog post with CEA: https://www.ceastudyabroad.com/blog/mojo/2019/04/29/what-s-cooking-in-italy-interning-in-florence

Best Semester Ever!!!

Before deciding where to study abroad I looked into many different locations and programs but I could not be happier with my decision to study abroad with CEA in Dublin, Ireland. All the teachers and advisers at the school were so friendly and fun to be around, I always say they weren't just my teachers but they were also my friends. I loved how the school planned different trips and activities throughout the semester to help students see different parts of Ireland and really get to experience true Irish culture. Thanks to the programs I have decided to get my masters in Ireland next year because how much I fell in love with the city and the country thanks to CEA.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
Everything about this program was amazing, though if I could change one thing it would be not to stress as much about the little things and just really enjoy every moment and say yes to every opportunity. Some of my greatest memories came from just saying yes and I wish I would've learned that sooner in the semester.

CAPA Study Abroad in London

This was my first experience in Europe and I couldn't have asked for anything better. CAPA organized numerous excursions for us and set up our housing in a cozy hostel. My favorite part about the trip was the walking tour around Shoreditch. It was beautiful and we were able to learn the area's history through a personal tour guide. Additionally, all of the staff member were jut a phone call away if we ever needed anything which made me feel safe and comfortable when getting acquainted to a brand new country.

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
It may not seem too unfamiliar but I had a cucumber sandwich! We went to a traditional British tea where they served us sweets and sandwiches.

The Best Semester. Ever.

I studied in Dublin in the fall of 2019. I was the only student from my college, and I was completely terrified. I had never traveled further than outside the New England area, much less out of the country. In addition to this, I was a first semester senior. So I knew going in that this may be one of my most challenging semesters. Especially in a new academic environment, different from any other I had been exposed to.
Most of my worries and fears stemmed from this. I was petrified that I wouldn’t be able to handle my course load. Since I was a senior, my home institution required that I take 5 courses, as well as an internship while in Dublin. I had already known that I had good time management skills. At home I had taken five classes and worked during one semester. I knew I could do it at home, but I was worried that the cultural differences would make it difficult for me to succeed.
I have never been so happy to be wrong in my life. They say that studying abroad changes you in ways that you’d never imagine. I can say from first hand experience that they are absolutely true. My semester abroad was the best that I have ever had. I ended up becoming friends with everyone in my program! This made my transition and adjustment so much easier. In addition to this, I had the endless support of the CAPA staff in Dublin. If ever I had a question, comment, concern, or just wanted to share something I had learned, they were always there and more than happy to listen.
My courses were some of the best I’ve ever taken while in college. Each lecturer made their class filled with new knowledge in ways that I can apply to my career. We analyzed problems for real-life scenarios, then worked as a group to find real life solutions. As a business major, with hope of one day starting my own business, this is incredibly useful.
My internship was one of my favorite places to be during the week. I worked 15 hours, going to my site four days out of the week. My internship was at a startup Irish fashion company called Tonn. They make specialty T-shirts themed with the beauty of Ireland. I learned so much from being there. The company itself is only made up of four to five people, so I was able to see first hand the ups, downs, joys, and struggles of owning your own business. Here I learned how to plan for the unexpected, when and how to cope with frustrations, as well as when to walk away. In the U.S. I feel we sometimes struggle with this. Sometimes we take on more than we can chew, or get so invested in what we are doing that we can forget how important it is to take a break. My internship and my courses taught me that walking away and taking breaks are essential to success. While we would love to complete a task all at once, it is important to remember that we are not robots. We cannot run, continuously, forever. We are all human, and that is what makes us unique.
They say that studying abroad changes you in ways you can’t imagine. I can say that they are right. My time abroad allowed me to learn more about myself than I ever had before. It allowed me room to grow as a person, and find myself in places I’d never thought I’d be. I have made relationships that will last a lifetime, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Don't sweat it. Fear will melt when you arrive. Everything will fall into place. Be patient, and have an open mind.

CAPA DUBLIN

An experience of a lifetime! CAPA supported me from the moment I applied to the moment I arrived in Ireland. CAPA made me feel safe and kept me engaged and informed while I was in Dublin. Anyone who wants to study and learn about the culture of Dublin is the place to visit. I learned so much about the history and the culture of Ireland. Be apart of a family and go with someone who will connect and show you the ins and out of the country CAPA is the program to go with! Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey.

What would you improve about this program?
The biggest thing that I would approve of this program is making sure students understand the difference between US grading and European grading.

My Internship Abroad

I loved my experience in Sydney, Australia! My internship was amazing working with Chiropractors and a physiotherapist. My homestay was absolutely amazing, the best host mom and family. My class while I was abroad wasn't amazing as it was tailored to students that were business majors not students that were health care or anything else. The program for me was fine as I was happy with my internship and my homestay, however other students from my school didn't love their experiences and not being able to do all of the extra experiences that students from other schools got to do.

What would you improve about this program?
For my school in particular I would make it so that the students can do all of the activities the other schools got to do as well as make it more inclusive for our students to meet students from other schools. Since we didn't get to meet many students from other schools we spent most of our time with students from our own school and didn't get to make those connections like all the other students did.
