Why did I end up in Madrid? I had a goal of traveling to Spain and stumbled upon Absolute Internship on my university website. I heard that some other students from my uni had been on the program and that it was a great program, so I decided to apply. Madrid is such a beautiful city with so much diversity and lots of culture. The people in the city are so friendly, the architecture is so beautiful and thoughtfully designed and built, the streets are so clean compared to where I’m from and the people are so happy with life.

Absolute Internship is an awesome company and provided us with a fantastic support. They cared for us. We were not like numbers for them which I really appreciated. The events and trips that were included were fantastic and well-organized. It was definitely worth the money.

I would strongly recommend Absolute Internship to anyone who is planning to do an internship overseas.

I interned for a events planning company in Madrid. Very cool and trendy company that produced events for cool clients such as Nike, Real Madrid. The placement was a good fit for me and I really learned a lot from my four weeks in the country. I wished that I had joined the 2 months program instead. Spain is such a lovely and wonderful place. Great food, nice people and great weather. Madrid is a city that never sleeps! There is always something to do and always something that happens that you don't want to miss out on.

Absolute Internship was a lovely experience. The events and weekends are a lot of fun. You meet so many great people through the program and I'm really grateful I ended up joining the program. Everything is thought out and planned in detail. Thank you for an amazing summer guys!

I had a lovely time in Singapore thanks to Absolute Internship support. My internship in public relations was challenging-, fun- and I learned so much. It took some time to get used to commuting with public transport, instead of car but it was definitely a summer where I learned so much. The people at work and in the city were incredibly kind and I loved immersing myself in the Asian culture. Singapore is a beautiful city, the food was so delicious! I received support whenever I needed from the Absolute staff and they really made things easier for me while abroad.

My advice to other students who are looking into interning in Singapore are:

1. JUST DO IT! You'll have memories for life and make friendships from people from all around the world. I still keep in contact with the people I met through the program.
2. Attend as many events that Absolute put together! They are awesome and included, so why not?
3. Go for 2 months at least. I did the one month and I wished I would have stayed at least another month. Time flies while you are abroad.

My summer in Singapore with Absolute Internship was a blast.

Housing: Clean, central and had everything that I needed such as kitchen, dishwasher. I loved it.

Internship: I was placed with an international pharmaceutical company. I chose pharmaceutical as my preferred industry. It was a great match, I had a supportive mentor at my company and colleagues that cared for me.

Activities: There were activities planned and organized for us every weekend which was built into the program. I loved that we always had things to do and that the absolute staff cared for us. She was a great resource during the summer.

Visa: Easy. Emailing back and forth with the Absolute team and getting the visa was much easier than I thought it would be.

Students: Made really cool friends through the program that I still have contact with. Great program to make friends from all over the world. My roommate was from England for example and we grew really close during the summer.

Overall: Great experience and great program. If I could do the program all over again, I would without any doubt.

From the day I sent in my application online, Absolute was always there for me. Quick responses-, friendly emails- and always professional. I really appreciated the love and care the program put into me and my program. I was placed with a large Dutch multinational (think 100+ staff) and felt a bit over and nervous before my first day. But the absolute staff was really understanding and made me feel so good and confident. The housing was excellent. We had a pool, gym.. do I need to say more? It was really well located and was very clean. All that we needed.

A visa can be difficult and complicated but the program and the absolute staff was very easy to work with and made the entire process smooth. I made friends from France, Spain and so many other countries through the program.

Absolute was an amazing experience and I'd highly recommend it!

I have had an absolutely awesome experience in Singapore with Absolute! I did the two months program. Every component of the program was well-thought planned in advance and simply great. It was the perfect mix of fun and professional. Especially the visa process was super well explained! Absolute did a great job with the visa process and helped me really facilitate this process.

We had great cultural activities scheduled each week and even a weekend included to an island in Indonesia. I never felt bored or lonely with the program. You make so many cool and awesome friends through the program! I can't recommend it enough. Singapore was a blast and I was so grateful I found this program. My favorite memory of the summer was the people that I met through the Absolute program. They do a great job in selecting the students who go on this.

I joined the Shanghai program and while I was skeptical at first about my internship placement, it turned out to be the best internship I had. I am glad I trusted Absolute and their guidance for my internship in Shanghai. The experience without Absolute can't be the same as they help you get settle in Shanghai for the time you will be there which is generally short. The communication between their team, my university and myself went very smooth. I did feel a sense of care from the local staff in Shanghai as they kept checking up on us, meeting us and sharing their insights and knowledge about the city.
I met so many students and professional through the program and my internship, which would have been harder without going through an organized program. The weekend trip to Hangzhou was so cool.
My best tip is to go for it and trust that your experience as a whole will have a positive impact of your professional growth and your network. Shanghai is a city where you meet thousands of people
Grateful my university works with Absolute.

My school had a lot of different options when it came for me to choose a program to intern abroad, but choosing an external program that I came across online was the best thing that happened to me. Absolute Internship is a golden program! You meet people from all around the world and the best part is that these people become your best friends. It’s definitely an investment in your career/future/travel but having done the program in Madrid I feel that it’s so worth it. My internship placement was great. My mentor/boss at my internship Jorge was very helpful to me during my two months in Spain and taught me a lot about marketing, business and life in Spain which I really appreciated.

Absolute took care of everything from the housing, to my internship placement (amazing digital marketing internship) and made me feel safe and comfortable, which is very important.

What did I get out of this program? Inspiration, friends for life, but also I learned so much about myself that I didn’t know before coming (both from my work and colleagues but also from just living abroad). I grew so much through this experience thanks to Absolute. The staff is fantastic and supportive. Always there for you no matter what.

My personal experience was very educational,fun and personal growth. I know my absolute internship was unique because I met many people that were living in Madrid from 6 months to a year. However I visited more places than they did during that whole period and I was there only for a month. The absolute internship is a perfect balance between professional experience that will excel your multicultural sensitivity skills with local cultural enrichment. As a participant you will have the chance to be part of so many fun activities that will get you a feeling of what Madrid has to offer. Today I feel more confident on my professional career knowing that I was able to work and adapt to a different culture, this is a must have experience to become a leader of any career because been able to appreciate foreigners for what each of them has to offer is a give that by becoming one we are able to see. This will help you lead others with different backgrounds. Some advice I will give to future participants is that you can make this a great opportunity, Absolute Internship will give you many tools and activities but only you can make most of it. Eventually you will find out that getting lost is a chance to have awesome and unique experiences, do not be afraid ambiguity. Also something to keep in mind during the summer the sun does not go down until 10 p.m. this caused me some insomnia. Other than that immerse in Madrid!
