It was so fun to participate in Silk Mandarin’s Chinese Summer Camp. All the teachers and staff, were so patient and welcoming, and everyone else at the camp was also so friendly, which made it such an enjoyable learning experience. The classes mainly focused on practising speaking in Chinese, which can be very useful in everyday situations. I think these sessions have greatly improved my vocabulary and given me more confidence to speak Chinese. They would also prepare delicious food for us everyday after class, along with engaging activities to allow us to explore Shanghai and learn more about the Chinese culture. Each day was well-planned, allowing us to visit Shanghai’s most well-known sites, including the Pearl Tower. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I really hope to visit again. Thank you Silk Mandarin! :)

The camp was incredibly detailed, offering us many opportunities to not only improve our language skills but also our understanding of chinese culture.

I would say that the excursions in particular (to around Shanghai and Suzhou) were very fun, allowing us to experience using Chinese Mandarin in real life.

Throughout the camp we were given good food options which allowed us to be nourished, and they were all delicious!

Id say that it’s definitely worth the money and worth going to (for both the learning experience and activities)!

The way they approach you is really good and beyond the materials their blending system is awesome. I strongly suggest them. They arrange a lot of events, also if you face any problem for example about housing or travelling etc they genuinely help a lot. I started the course from the belowest point lets say, I was just like 你好，谢谢 and now can read news in Chinese in 1 year. Moreover, they accept critics and if there is an error about sth like about your program, schedule whatever you can imagine they are reacting in a good way. I changed my time period for several times because of some neccesities.

This is my first time in Shanghai and I’ve chosen Silk Mandarin as the place where I’ll study Chinese - I didn’t expect that I’ll not only learn some vocabulary, grammar, etc., but also have that much speaking practice. Lessons are well-structured, the school provides a huge amount of useful study materials for previews and reviews, so I have a chance to go through the topics again, and after every class.

Every teacher at Silk Mandarin talks to you several times a day during the breaks so that you can practice more. I was really afraid of speaking in Chinese, even though I had a good basis, but thanks to the program, I’m not afraid of asking people for help on the streets if I need something. It is also possible to have small talk with the natives now!

Special thanks to teacher Jane - she taught me a lot of new things and it is not only about the lessons, she has also showed me that it is better to try to say something in the language you studying, make a mistake and try to rephrase your answer than to sit in silence and be afraid.

I honestly recommend Silk Mandarin, their lessons and attitude helped me to improve my Chinese level, especially speaking skills. I hope we’ll meet again someday :)

I believe that Silk Mandarin is a wonderful opportunity to learn Chinese. The teachers are very understanding and friendly. The exercises we were given turned out to be highly effective. I've been studying Chinese at Silk Mandarin not for long, but I already feel how learning it becomes more effective and enjoyable!! My motivation gets bigger after each lesson because classes are interesting and fun. During our studies, we tried lots of Chinese food. It was so tasty and exciting! We also visited many tourist places and learned a lot about Chinese culture. Thanks to our teachers, it's very interesting to study China more. I'm sure I'll reach my goals and speak Chinese well thanks to this method.

I am a Brazilian living in Shanghai and trying to learn mandarin for some time without progress. Then, I found Silk Mandarin and now I am at the right path. The blended course has an excellent methodology: you study by yourself before classes and review after them. The online classes presentend by Jasmine are very educative and my teacher, Hanna, is very well prepared. I think the best way to learn chinese is through repetition and Silk Mandarin's program is designed to offer lots of repetion and exercises until you can really learn.

Before joining Silk Mandarin, I was really struggling with motivation and structure in my Chinese learning. It was hard to access the right materials, and speaking felt overwhelming—especially because I couldn’t fully understand the grammar rules with previous teachers.

Our kids absolutely loved their time at Silk Mandarin! We initially signed up for just one week due to visiting friends, but once we realized they were leaving midweek, I reached out to see if we could add three more days—and the team kindly accommodated us. Our kids begged to go back just to be with the amazing teachers and new friends they made.

Every teacher was incredibly supportive, patient, and kind—creating such a welcoming environment for all the children. The fun, well-organized field trips and the constant photo updates made the experience even more memorable for our whole family.

Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, Silk Mandarin does a great job assessing each child and placing them in the right class. I highly recommend this camp to anyone looking to learn Mandarin in China—it’s not just educational, it’s an unforgettable adventure!

Currently working in Shanghai for a Chinese company, I’ve decided to sign up at Silk Mandarin after comparing several institutes. I have no regret with my decision as the follow-up at this school is great. The teaching tools are created by the school, and everything is really well organised. I am having group classes with teacher Jane for my HSK1 and HSK2. Really happy with the overall learning experience. I strongly recommend SilkMandarin for anyone who wishes to learn Chinese, whatever your level.

I've really enjoyed my time with Silk Mandarin and plan to continue my Chinese learning journey with them to reach HSK Level 2. I chose them due to the teacher profiles and the wonderful location, which is central and appropriate. I constantly use what ive learned, many thanks to the slow motion technique of memorising what comes first and what to describe after. I find myself only thinking and speaking in Chinese most of the time.

Essentially I'm a lot more confident due to understanding my own level of expertise and fluency, and what and how to improve. It's thanks to the wonderful teachers and support at Silk Mandarin.
