I absolutely loved my summer in Bangkok with Beyond Academy. It was really interesting to learn about Thai culture from just walking to the BTS station and talking to locals. It is very humid in Bangkok and be prepared to sweat a lot but it is worth it! The food in Thailand is delicious, my personal favorite was the Thai Basil Rice (you can clarify your spice levels). I also highly suggest to travel to other places in Thailand/South East Asia while you are there. I went to Phuket, Ko Samet (beaches) and Chang Mai (more mountains/rural).

The entire internship abroad experience was great! The Beyond Academy coordinators did a great job organizing activities that allowed us to experience the must-see parts of Barcelona, while also providing great recommendations for places to eat, explore, and navigate the city. I also really appreciated the wide variety of internship fields available, making it easy to find an opportunity that aligns with your interests. Overall, it was a great way to gain international work experience while experiencing life in Barcelona!

The internship experience in Barcelona was absolutely amazing both in the office and out of the office. Our local host Isabel was amazing when getting us acclimated to the city, as well as providing reccomendations and ensuring our safety. On top of that, her community events that she planned for our group were so much fun whether it was a day trip to the beach, going to dinner, or attractions like park guell. The internship on the other hand was a great work experience, and I learned so much about working abroad.

I definitely recommend Beyond Academy’s Berlin program! I had such a great experience overall, especially as someone traveling abroad and doing an international internship for the first time. The program made the entire process feel much less overwhelming, from helping with the internship placement to providing support while I was actually living in Berlin. It was definitely a lot of fun. It was super great being able to experience and explore a brand new city.

The internship itself was amazing. Same with the beyond academy program. Very helpful program with a lot of activities and the two people who went with us on the activities were awesome. Some of my best memories I made in Barcelona over through the program. The program did a great job planning trip trips that the typical 18 through 22-year-old wouldn’t do but stuff that’s important to see. I talked to people from different programs. Many of them didn’t have the great experiences that I did at Beyond Academy.

My experience with beyond could not have gone better. Internship wise they connected me with an amazing business inside of the Olympic stadium in Barcelona and I was able to work with 5 other interns in different programs there. Program wise I could not have chosen a better program. Although ours was smaller than others I think I preferred that and Isabel was amazing for us and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. She acted more as a friend rather than a babysitter because going into it we thought we were going to be forced to go to the program events but once we got here we were excited each week for the events.

Beyond Academy not only held my hand through the VISA and internship search process, but also ensured that I was safe and well taken care of. The accommodation Beyond Academy put me in was right near the city center, and even had complimentary room cleaning. I couldn't have been in a better part of the city. When it came to the internship as a whole, Beyond Academy made sure to match me with exactly what I wanted, fusing together two industries I wanted to work in. Going across the world is a bit scary, but Beyond Academy did everything they could to make sure the process went as smoothly as possible.

I had an absolutely amazing experience in Berlin this summer. I went through Beyond Academy and they were incredibly helpful in helping me find a company to intern with that applied to my studies at the University of Arizona. They handled housing, which ended up being a very comfortable coliving space in Pankow. My internship was great. I learned a lot and got to spend time diving into the Berlin real estate market. Berlin has a great social scene as well and you will never find yourself bored if you do not want to be. Highly recommend

I had a great time this summer with beyond academy. I was able to boost my resume in one of the best cities in the world with New York, all while getting to have the most fun I’ve had any summer. It’s a win win and there is no other way to put it! Love this program and highly recommend it! My internship is experience that was very useful and will help me in my future because I was doing actual work, not just busy work. I also made friends that will stay with my for the rest of my life and the community advisors are the best people ever!

I honestly had a pretty solid time. It’s always been a dream of mine to do something this crazy like living and working abroad. My company was super nice and my work hours were super nice too. Most everyone was flexible with my needs and assisting me when needed. I was a research invest analyst so, they have work/positions for every major. So if an Interview doesn’t go as planned there will be more opportunities. The only downside was that I would finish my work sometimes too quickly and would not have anything to do but that’s not the case for most interns. Other interns that were here often had to work weekends. My company was super laid back and often treated me and my colleagues to lunch and dinner. As long as you make the effort to communicate with them even if you don’t speak Korean fluently they will see the effort and do the same for you.
