A useful and well structured course to begin my TEFL journey. James' podcasts make the course engaging and provide real experiences which add depth to the course. Topics have been divided into sections well, which makes this a comprehensive course. The grammar modules are particularly well explained, but this course also highlights how to effectively plan lessons and deliver them in a managed classroom. The module tests are measured at an appropriate level. I enjoyed this course and look forward to the next stages as an EFL tutor! I would recommend this course to anyone wishing to start their EFL journey.

This course was incredibly user friendly and instructive of not only how to to equipped as an EFL teacher, but also how to be apply care and protection to those you will be teaching in a safe setting. The topics are clear, and the information regarding student ability, expectations and different ways of consuming knowledge is illuminating. Diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding and temperament management are all essentially touched upon, and leave the EFL student feeling accomplished and adequate to begin teaching. I enjoyed this course! I will be using what I have learned to teach in Hanoi, Vietnam and am very excited to get started!

I thought that this course was useful and helpful, as it provided specific modules and sections on topics like Lesson Planning and Teaching Young Learners, as well as going into detail on grammar and how to teach the different aspects of grammar. In this way, this course was practical and provided a good grounding in the foundational elements of TEFL.

Additionally, the way that the course was broken up into smaller chunks, with the podcast episodes and examples of work in between, meant that it remained interesting throughout, rather than there being long pages of text for example.

I learned a significant amount about the ins and outs of teaching English! It has prepared me substantially for when I teach English in Hong Kong. The content was detailed, with numerous modules which are all extremely useful for beginners in particular. Furthermore, Jamie's podcasts were so useful. One stand out for me was the wide-array of materials I can draw upon when I finally start teaching abroad! Without TEFL Nomad's help, I wouldn't be able to start my teaching English journey in Hong Kong!

I thought that this TEFL course was helpful and useful, as it includes specific modules on topics such as Teaching Young Learners, and teaching online, as well as how to teach stories as well. Additionally, it's helpful in the course that throughout, key aspects such as lesson planning, grammar, as well as key traits of a good TEFL teacher, are stressed and emphasized multiple times. In this way, the key aspects are not just presented once and moved on from, but are an integral part of the learning.

Also, it is helpful that the modules and sections of the course are relatively succinct and concise, so that it is easier to complete in chunks and sections.

This course has been fantastic from start to finish. I remained engaged throughout and was able to complete it at a pace of my choosing which allowed me to integrate it into my day. The podcasts from James were a great addition and it was helpful to have the insight of someone who has experienced teaching abroad. I am now much more confident in my ability to teach English as a foreign language and I look forward to applying everything I have learnt to my teaching in China. This course has opened the world of teacher to me.
