When i first got to Beijing, I was exhausted, hungry and stresed out. I was affraid that I would be stuck in a class of children younger than me with far more skills in chinese than I could claim to have. My first impression was a good one; the person who came to pick me up (Holly) was nice and made me feel welcome. SHe taught me some random words in chinese and we talked a little about chinese culture and our families. By the time we got to the actual school, I felt much better. The program itself is pretty good. I'll give you a breakown:

I gave the program a total of 8 out of ten.
FOOD: Very good. I loved everything we ate and we always had something different. We got to pick our lunches (with some western options for the less adventurous) and dinner was always at a local restaurant. All in all I give this part a 10.
LOCATION/LODGING: The school doesn't look like much from the outside but inside the classes are modern and sleek. THe classes I saw could hold no more than four or five students plus the techer, which is rather a good thing since it means you aren't stuck in a class with thirty other kids. The rooms are small but well furnished and comfortable. I give this an 8.
CLASSES content wise): Good classes, I learned a lot during my short stay of two weeks. We learned about practical things that we could then apply in our day to day conversations with the teachers. My classes were always fun thanks to the lively students I was with and the fact that our teacher always had a good laugh alongside us. I give this a 10.
OVERALL: Great program. One thing I would caution you about is ath supplies. Bring a towel or the money to buy it (I didn't :( ). I would recommend this to kids who want tohave fun, learn chinese and interact daily with the chinese culture.

This program is great because the student to teacher ratio is low so you can get a lot of one on one time. I take Chinese in school so this was very helpful to get ahead. I only did the classes, but from what I've heard, the cultural activities are really great. In only four weeks I've improved a lot thanks to the unique teaching style at That's Mandarin. I had a really great time with my classmates and teacher and made friends from all around the world. That's Mandarin really brings kids from everywhere together and I really like that.

She went to Great Wall and the silk market and this is a good experience for her. This is thge first time she came to Beijing. She learnt to be independent .She did her laundry herself. She stayed in the dormitory herself. She learnt to adapt in this environment. It is a good challenge for her. The environment in this center is good , neat and clean. The teachers are good. I hope she could explore more Beijing or chinese culture here such as talking to the residence here, interacting with the local here. She will learn even faster.

I went to the school as a student. It is a good school. It have people lovely people at school who can help you whenever you are in need. The class is good and fun. The school provides the excellent teaching methods, which helps me to remember the news words and new knowledge everyday. They combing with their online system. This is a great help for me to after the class, as I can access to all the class notes and learning materials. In the school, they also give me a spare classroom in the afternoon to do my homework.
I definitely recommend this school for those who are into mandarin learning. I hope you will enjoy it. It is great opportunity !!!!!!!

I just took 5 days of 6 one-to-one lessons per day in That's Mandarin Beijing and I have to say that it was really great experience. Last year while I was in Beijing I had lessons in some other school so I can compare, and lessons in TM were 1000 times better. I appreciate very much also the App which help me to review what I have learned. After just 30 lessons I have noticed a big progress in my Chinese. I also have to mention that all members of TM staff are really lovely, Liu Song Yu and Holly especially. I highly recommend That's Mandarin to anyone who'd like to significantly improve hers/his level of Chinese in such a short time.

I had a great time at the december 2017 winter day camp in Shanghai with That's Mandarin. I like the small class sizes and teachers are focused in the classes in the morning and the afternoon which makes the learning here fun and helpful. The teachers are quite nice, young and energetic. The learning environment is super modern which is so cool. I would love to come back next year and join the summer camp with them.

All the staff were very nice and welcoming, felt like I was at home straught away.
The culture activities (eg. mask painting) and trips (eg. Forbidden city) were fun and safe
Great atmosphere, peaceful and clam, just like home!
This was my first time in Beijing, and I enjoyed it a lot thanks to That's Madarin.
Got picked up from the airport without any inconvenience and the food provided was very good.

First of all I would love to say that I really enjoy my studies in “That’s Mandarin”: this school provides high quality services. Furthermore, I got really impressed by the unique and efficient teaching methods. Personally, Im getting bored really easy, but what is important to mark, “That’s Mandarin” still keeps my attention focused. I simply love this school, adore professional teachers, extremely helpful and friendly staff, modern environment and the last but not the least - I started to communicate in Chinese and that is something that, I thought I will never ever manage to do.

I am very satisfied with my classes at That's Mandarin. The staff has always been friendly, professional and helpful in every way. The new building is modern and very comfortable to learn in, with a nice common area where free drinks are provided. Last but not least, I'm very happy with my lessons. My teacher is amazing and understands exactly my needs, and I love the online vocabulary system. Thank you That's Mandarin!

I take one-to-one classes. I used to go in person but recently my company moved far away so now I take online classes with the same teacher. In the two months that i have been going, I can see a definite improvement in my Chinese level. Compared with my old school, TM has allowed me to improve my skills more effectively. The topics I have gone through so far have helped me in my daily life in China (eg. ordering take away or a taxi). TM is very organised!
