Exhausting but worth it!

I completed my internship in Thailand late last year before COVID hit giving me the opportunity to not only accomplish one of my goals to do an internship or work professionally abroad, but to also be able to travel around the country to explore a new culture that I'm not familiar with. Thailand itself was amazing, the people were so welcoming and nice to me and even allowed me to travel places with them. I have my colleagues to thank as well for introducing me to their fascinating culture.

Applying to AIP is something that I don't regret to this day. It seemed very doubtful at first, but my parents convinced to go for it, and here I am today with no regrets. Really great first time abroad experience and I'm looking forward to more!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would've definitely taken my time to learn the language before arriving. It was hard getting around places at times.

Home internship!

I took a year off my studies so I could get an internship for some real world experience. But, due to covid-19, my plans took a turn for the worst. I didn't think I would be able to find work this year as everything was closed due to the locked down and a lot of people were also loosing their jobs. I am very thankful to find AIP during this period. With their help, I was able to find a company to intern in from the comfort of my own home. Due to them, my year off was not a waste.

I was studying Digital marketing in my university. Learning the theory and the skill was fun but I wanted a more practical knowledge on the field. This is why I was looking for companies that are in search for interns for their marketing department. Through the help of AIP I found a great company that offered a great mentorship on the field. I have learned so much in the past few months and it was only possible through the help of AIP. I highly recommend using their services.

What would you improve about this program?
Being with one supervisor of AIP rather than switching would be better for efficiency purposes.

Thank you for a great opportunity

I just completed my remote internship last week and after today, it feels weird getting up and not doing actual work. The work itself was difficult because as doing a journalism internship, I had to keep up with the content by writing articles every single day. Which is why is completely weird not doing work anymore. My supervisor of the company was very helpful to me and taught me a lot of things that I'm grateful for. I'm definitely looking forward to working for them again in the future if the opportunity is presented.

As for AIP, the whole service is self-explanatory and I didn't run into any issues at all. I applied to AIP for an internship because I felt that they had the capabilities of providing a company that can really teach and enhance my skills for the future, and I was definitely correct. Massive thanks to AIP!

The Land of Smiles!

Thank you, AIP, for an amazing experience I just had in Thailand. It kind of sucks that it may be a long time till I get to come back to the country with the on-going global pandemic. Thought I was really lucky to be able to do an internship here since I was already in the country and was about to finish my studies. We went under lockdown for a few months but it slowly went away and everyone pretty much just went back to work. My colleagues were one of the nicest people I've ever met and I've learnt so much from them. Again, I would like to thank AIP for always keeping the communications top notch and for making me not feel lonely at times.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Going through the lockdown was pretty frightening. Having to stay home and just work was intensively boring.

Completed a wonderful internship experience in South Korea!

With the ongoing global pandemic, I am extremely grateful for having the opportunity to finally travel to South Korea to do an internship. I am definitely looking to take it further by taking a full time position here at the company I'm currently interning for, but we'll see where life takes me.

I was recommended by a couple of friends here at university to apply for AIP for an internship program as they are alumni's of the program. The experience is exactly as I expected and there is nothing more I could've asked for with all the help they've given me from finding a company and assisting in all aspects of the program. Huge appreciation to the community manager for always keep in touch with me and always checking on me to make sure I was safe and okay.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I would definitely have been more prepared with the quarantine period in terms of paying for it. Was really surprised with how much it was.

Rollercoaster ride!

What a crazy rollercoaster ride I just went through!

I would like to commend AIP for helping me all throughout the process and for keeping me sane in situation here I thought everything was falling apart. I applied to AIP for an internship in South Korea back when COVID-19 didn't exist and expected to travel stress-free last March. I was definitely wrong as I had to go through the quarantine process and multiple documents that needed to be processed. Needless to say, everything went well and I was able to enter South Korea and finally do my internship. The internship experience was amazing considering the "social-distancing" everybody had to practice. I was able to go to work and travel around the country as a tourist would normally do. Really missed on a lot of stuff and I'll be sure to complete my need-to-see list in South Korea when I come back in the near future.

Overall, the experience was great and I have AIP to thank for with all the help they provided me!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?

Wondrous Experience

I wanted to make use of the time I had at home during lockdown. So, I thought that gaining some experience in my field of interest would have been a good idea. I realized that I had to do remote work due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I searched up, "remote internships", on google and this lead me to AIP. I did some research on the company and decided that I wanted to pursue this internship all the way through.

I have a huge passion for video & photography. For some reason, taking photos and editing videos really narrate a story and I like that feeling. That was the driving force behind my decision to pursue an internship in video & photography. I guess that with the nature of the industry, a lot of the work was already done online and did not require attendance at the office. Regardless, my supervisors were extremely kind and understanding. They taught me the ins and outs of photography and I learned a lot of valuable lessons throughout the course of the internship. I highly recommend doing remote work, as it allows you to solve problems on your own. In a way remote internships really teach you to be an independent individual. Thank you so much AIP for this opportunity!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I think that having a more exact timeline of the assignments would make the experience better.

First online internship!

Went out of my way and finally completed my first online internship! It was honestly nerve-wrecking at first with all the adjustments I had to go through such as working from home instead of the library or actually doing all communications through Skype rather than physically being present. This would also be the first time I've actually used an internship service like AIP as these type of things are usually skeptical. Nonetheless, I was lucky enough to be put with someone who helped me throughout the whole process and kept me in check. One thing I would like to commend AIP for is that they are very understanding and flexible with schedules and whatnot. I've encountered multiple complications where I wasn't able to make payments on time but they were very understanding and kind. Really thankful to AIP!

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Don't be afraid to try new things even if they seem sketchy! Always ask questions and make sure you know what you're getting yourself into.

My 6 month internship!

I'd like to say that this experience was both terrifying but also educational for me and I can't thank AIP enough for giving me this opportunity. Obviously the beginning was such a hassle with the COVID-19 outbreak and the whole country going on lockdown, I thought that this experience was going to go bad. Had to work from home at the start but it suddenly took a turn a couple of weeks later, and we were allowed to go back to the offices. Despite the restrictions, I was able to still work and build relationships with my colleagues which was a blessing and I won't take for granted. I was also grateful for the Community Manager of AIP for keeping in touch with me and actually even taking the time to speak with me often while I was working at home just so that I wasn't lonely at all, definitely appreciative of that. The company overall was very kind to me and my supervisor assisted me all throughout the way. I'm really interested in coming back once this pandemic is over and possibly doing full time. Thanks to AIP and everyone!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Working from home was something I didn't expect and contacting the community manager was very nice as he assisted me every time I needed him.

Good internship experience

I did an internship in business development, with prior experience in business administration in university. I chose Vietnam because I loved the culture, food, and all of the historical landscapes.

I was a bit confused during the first month, since this is my first regular internship. Nonetheless, my mentors were extremely understanding and taught me how to contact clients in the best way possible. I enjoyed my internship but I thought the experience was even more worthwhile. Getting to immerse myself into a professional working environment was extremely valuable for me.

What would you improve about this program?
Make it more interactive towards a younger target audience.
