This two-week Therapy Abroad program in Bulgaria and Greece is designed for undergraduate and graduate students interested in occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, communication sciences and disorders, rehabilitation, special education, and related health professions. Students begin in Bulgaria, one of Europe’s oldest countries, where they learn alongside experienced OTs, SLPs, local professionals, and Therapy Abroad staff during the clinical and service-learning portion of the program. Through observation, hands-on activities, cultural exchange, and community-based learning, students gain practical insight into therapy, disability services, global healthcare, and interdisciplinary care. The program concludes in Santorini, Greece, where students explore local culture, food, history, coastal villages, and the ancient town of Akrotiri. This is an ideal summer study abroad experience for students seeking clinical exposure, cultural immersion, and career-focused learning.
