About Program
This immersive Maymester program includes 100 hours of intensive Spanish courses taught by University of Oviedo professors and is designed for Intermediate through advanced level students. All courses are taught in Spanish and emphasize reading, writing, listening and speaking and classrooms have a mix of US and some international students. Students gain further immersion by living in a homestay within walking or a short bus ride the city center and campus. In-class language study is complemented by field trips, guided visits and other group excursions in and around the clean and lively city of Oviedo. Aviles and Gijon are only a short bus ride away, as well as hiking, beaches and opportunities to explore the natural wonder and cuisine of Asturias, Spain!
