I would highly recommend Korean Horizons!!

Korean Horizons were incredibly supportive throughout the entire application process. Alistair was quick to answer any questions I had and was easy to get ahold of at every stage of the application. He went above and beyond and his support did not end once I had received my placement. Korean horizons was actually recommended to me by someone who was working in Korea at the time and they did not disappoint. I too highly highly recommend Korean Horizons to anyone looking to apply. It will make the entire journey and experience so much easier.

Korean Horizons is Great!

Korean Horizons was really on the ball with everything, making sure that we had documents collected and sorted well in advance. The whole process was really well organised and well communicated and Alistair worked hard to make sure that I had a placement.
We were always kept updated on news relating to our applications and the EPIK process via email and a Facebook group, which was really handy.
I would definitely recommend Korean Horizons to people who want to come and work in Korea, especially those who may not know where to start.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Make sure you gather all of your documents quickly and get your application in as soon as you can for a better chance of securing a place :)

Could not recommend Korean Horizons enough!

Seriously, I can not stress enough how amazing my experience with Korean Horizons and Alistair was.

Trying to move to a new country is hard enough, throwing a global pandemic into the mix just makes it a special kind of hellish. But Alistair truly made what could have been months of stress and anxiety into a process that felt almost too good to be true.

Alistair will let you know exactly what you need to do, and when you need to do it by. Between him and the Korean Horizons Facebook group you just cant go wrong, but if you still have questions, Alistair will answer them super quick! (I feel like that man never sleeps!)

And the support doesn’t end once you get here. Even during our quarantine period, Alistair made sure to check in with us and even ordered necessities to our hotel rooms to make sure we had everything we needed. This is a level of care and attentiveness I didn’t expect at all and I appreciate it so much!

So seriously, if you want to teach in Korea, let Korean Horizons help you.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Preparing for the interview was incredibly nerve racking! But with all the support and the practice interview with Alistair, when the time came I was so ready!

Korean Horizon best recruiting company

In 2019 I had made the decision to leave my county and go teach English in South Korea. After doing extensive research, I understood why Korean Horizons was the best option for me. I immediately went on the website filled in an application form and the recruiter, Alistair Wery contacted me. I loved how swift and timely he responds to any questions or concerns we might have about applying to epic. And would recommend anyone wanting good quality service to use them. Good luck & spread your wings..

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Be open minded & fully immerse yourself culturally.

Too good to be true (plot twist, it’s true)

Can not stress enough how much I recommend working with Korean Horizons to get yourself to Korea.

With the state of everything after COVID, Alistair made what should have been a nightmarish process feel like a breeze. My questions were always answered promptly and there was amazing support throughout the entire application process as well as visa, travel and quarantine advice/information.

And the support doesn’t end once you get here, Alistair checked in with all of us during quarantine, ordering necessities for us on gmarket and making sure we all had what we needed. This is a level of care and attention I never expected, but am endlessly thankful for!

If you want to teach in Korea, this is where you need to be!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The scariest part of this entire process was preparing for the EPIK interview!! But there was so much support from Alistair and a practice interview that did wonders for my nerves

Thank you! My recruiter was amazing.

I want to say thank you to Alistair Wery for helping me throughout the process of applying to EPIK. He gave me an incredible amount of support and information. He made sure to check up on me, every step of the way. He also offered to help through my first weeks in South Korea. The program helped me get ready for my interview and gave me the advice that allowed me to succeed in the EPIK program.

I found Korean Horizon through my TEFL/TESOL program. They first had an informal interview to see if I was a good candidate for them. After being accepted they made sure I understood and received all the documents required for application in the EPIK program. They also made sure I was well informed about any requirements and documents needed to travel to South Korea as a teacher.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
I was oddly calm throughout the whole process, but there were times that verged in stressful. The preparations for the first interview. Waiting for the acceptance. The time between getting everything ready and arriving in South Korea. The first few days as a teacher in Korea.

Korean Horizons

As someone who was originally going to apply for the Fall 2020 intake but couldn't due to COVID-19, I think that Alistair has been a great support on my journey to teaching in South Korea. He has been patient and understanding with my decision to step away from the program for some time before trying again. He answers emails in a timely manner and offers feedback on your application so you know that you are applying with your best foot forward. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to teach in Korea to look into Korean Horizons.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
Trust the process! You will get there! There are moments within the application period where you won't hear anything and that can be quite daunting. Just know that you will get the information in time and Alistair will inform you of any updates ASAP.

Brilliant program!

I have wanted to teach in South Korea for the longest time. Due to Covid-19, I had many delays and difficulties. However, Alistair at Korean Horizons was so helpful and made it possible for me to now be in South Korea as a Teacher. I would highly recommend that you apply through Korean Horizons, the process can be quite strenuous but with their help, it could go a lot smoother. Teaching is extremely rewarding. The school system here is amazing. South Korea is a beautiful country with so much to see and do. I am so grateful to Alistair for helping me make my goal achievable.

Questions & Answers

All of the positions we provide are full-time 12 month fixed term contracts. It's possible to renew each year.

Teaching experience is not required. 98% of all new teachers have no prior teaching experience. To apply, you need to have a bachelor. You need to have the commitment to complete the TEFL by your start date and you can apply without one. Hope that this information is useful.

Hey Paul - we did some research and it looks like the salary is controlled by the government, and there are pay grades. Appreciate the question, surely others are wondering too
