An Epik adventure

I started this process with Korvia. I didn't know what to expect but they were clear that it would be a long process. And they were right. The collection of documents took months! I was very anxious but the staff at Korvia were on top of things! They were very supportive. I have to mention my recruiter, Samantha Lee. She was very professional and supportive. She kept me updated and checked up on me until the last minute. I've just arrived in Korea and my new colleagues are also kind and supportive. I'm looking forward to what promises to be an EPIK year!

What was the most unfamiliar thing you ate?
Oh my word, today I ate this raw leafy vegetable. I don't know the name. It gave me a runny stomach and I had to go to the school nurse who gave me a pill and medicine. Thankfully, I'm fine now.
Pros
  • Great way to learn a new culture.
  • Save money.
  • Good for your resume.
Cons
  • Lengthy process without any guarantees of placement
  • Expensive process especially for those who are straight out of university.
  • Being away from your support system.

Best recruitment agency

I applied to teach English in South Korea through Korvia. Korvia was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and their assitance has made the entire process much easier. My recruiter was Tyler his support and encouragement provided me with the neccassary confidence I needed to ace my interview & acquiring my documentation. Every single staff member I have interacted with is extremely professional and efficient. Should you have any questions they respond quite promptly and they all do their best to clarify anything you migt be confused about. In my opinion it is the best recruitment agency and still provide ongoing support post departure. They host frequent meetings/webinars everything you will need for the application process. I have no regrets by choosing them and I would reccomend it to anybody considering to go and teach in South Korea.

Helpful and Speedy

They made the whole process, from initial applications to getting set up at my new apartment, much less stressful. My recruiter was dedicated to her job and I always felt like I could text them and get a quick, helpful response. Using my recruiter as a resource saved me countless hours and I felt encouraged and supported by them throughout. Occasionally, I'd be in a stressful situation, like at the immigration office or getting ready for an interview, and it was very nice to know I could quickly get a answer or word of encouragement.

Love love love Korvia <3

Korvia was a godsend in my application process to EPIK. It is rated highly for a reason! My recruiter answered all my questions and communicated so efficiently I barely remembered there was a massive time difference between us. I would recommend this service to everyone. They put on many webinars throughout the months leading up to getting to South Korea, and they were so gracious with their answers. They literally made this as easy as possible for their applicants. If you want to teach in South Korea, make sure it's through Korvia Consulting!

Korvia teams rocks!

I would not have made it through the EPIK application or to South Korea without the Korvia team! The whole team is amazing! The EPIK application is hard and hands down, I got through it in less than 4 hours with the support of the team. They even reviewed and updated parts of my application, when I made some errors. Secondly the team kept in constant contact, from the webinars to the group chats to the consistent emails through whole process from completing the application to receiving my interview to my accept letter/offer contract. Could not ask for a better team! Absolutely the best! Thank you all. This service is absolutely free! Please do not hesitate to follow your dreams of teaching abroad in South Korea.

Pros
  • Consistent & open communication
  • Help with the entire application process
  • Encouraging!

From the timely responses to any questions I had to the additional guidance and advice throughout every stage, as well as the incredibly friendly staff, I have to say that Korvia is definitely one of the best recruiting agencies around.
They listened to what I wanted and provided me with choices within my preferences, which I can't say the same for other recruiters I've previously worked with. I highly recommend Korvia, with special thanks to Ann and Hannah for all their support.

KORVIA

This is my second year using Korvia, they helped me find my first job in Korea and now my second. Both times were seamless and they helped me find jobs within my preferences. You don't have to worry about the endless scrolling looking for jobs, they do that all for you and only present the jobs that within your preferences. The even schedule your interviews so all you have to do is show up! Up an till your first day at your new job, Korvia will be helping you, flights, housing, immigration, visa applications are just a few important steps Korvia will guide you through.

This is my second time using them and I couldn't recommend them enough. They made my teaching journey in Korea much more enjoyable and relaxing.

Great Help, Very Patient

EPIK is a great experience, and without Korvias support I would never have got here, I think. Despite many setbacks and mistakes thanks to me, Korvia still helped me out a lot, telling me what documents to get, where to send them, what I needed to prepare etc. They also set up a decent korean SIM card which they gave me upon arrival. They even have a group chat that continues to this day where you can ask for help. Incredibly helpful if you're unorganised and/or busy like I was, or it's your first time and you just need a little extra help.

Pros
  • Patient
  • Helpful
  • Friendly
