The course material is really easy to follow and provides a lot of information. It's explained in a way that will allow anyone attempting the course to understand it to the best of their abilities. The course also provides a ton of additional material and information that could further your understanding of the course and allow you to get good marks on your assignments and tests.

It also makes things smoother with the support and feedback given to us by qualified lecturers and moderators.

I would recommend it to everyone I come across.

I'd stop being lazy and would have completed it sooner so that I could start my journey sooner.

The course was very helpful and insightful. It definitely helps with understanding lesson planning better. The assignments weren't too easy and challenged you to do more research and understanding of the topics. The business top up course is surprisingly interesting! It would have been nice of the top up courses showed up on the dashboard automatically and did not require a second enrollment. I thoroughly enjoyed this course. I really liked the included hanbooks, it will be very useful in the future, especially in class.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?

Don't be scared or intimidated of the top up busses course! It is actually very interesting and insightful , not difficult at all.

Within the next month I am going to Cambodia. And this would not have been possible if it was not for the TEFL Academy, especially for Henri. He assisted me through the entry process and answered all my questions I had. The course was extremely helpful in every way. I know for sure that I am going to use most of the materials in my own classroom one day. Stay focused during everything and make a lot of notes because one day you want to look back and use them. It is always helpful to look back at old notes and find something new to use.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?

I would have worked through the study material more in detail, and I would not have rushed through everything. Luckily, I made a lot of notes, which is very important for first time teachers.

The spur-of-the-moment decision to purchase and complete this course really paid off and was everything I expected and more! The six-month time frame suggested was well within my ability to balance my current job while working on my TEFL qualification. I found it easy to pace myself with the course content, had no trouble communicating with the very efficient admin and tutor support, and found the assignments fun yet optimally challenging, thanks to the clear and well-thought out instructions. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience!

I recently completed the course and I am thoroughly impressed with the quality and depth of the program. The course was exceptionally well structured providing a perfect balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Additionally the course platform was user friendly and intuitive making it easy to navigate through the materials and track progress.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?

The most nerve-racking moment I experienced was completing the assignments. The standards are quite high and I didn't think I will be able to keep up with it. The TEFL team was a great help and answered as soon as possible when I needed any assistance. Every assignment also came with detailed feedback and I could improve any aspect on my next task.

The staff of the TEFL Academy are brilliant and very helpful. Anytime I had a query or a problem that needed help they replied to the email quickly and helped me find a solution to my problem. The recorded lives of each assessment (except for C as there wasn’t one!) were very helpful and made it easier to understand what to do for each part of the assessments. The case study’s in each unit also made it easier to understand how to put each teaching skill needed into practice and gave great examples.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?

Coming to the end of the course after being sick and not having finished yet.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone going on your program?

The one piece of advice I would give is to plan ahead and to do your best. Worrying and stressing won't help you. The resources, as well as the markers, are there to assist and help you achieve your best. Planning ahead is beneficial as you do not want to get stuck with a pile of work and then have to ask for an extension. Just do your absolute best and you will reap the rewards.

What does an average day/week look like as a participant of this program?

The TEFL course spanned over a period of 6 months which gave me ample time to complete my course accordingly. Some units take more time than others to complete, but if you plan and stick to that plan, you will not have a problem. The TEFL site also makes it easy and exciting to learn so that you do not get bored or frustrated during your study session.

Going into your experience abroad, what was your biggest fear, and how did you overcome it? How did your views on the issue change?

I have no been abroad yet for TEFL teaching, but I am surely looking into it. I would love to travel to Asia, as I have been to India once and I absolutely loved it. I would like to visit Japan, South Korea, and China as a TEFL teacher and hopefully start my career there. I look forward to new experiences and challenges.

Any other tips for any prospective traveler?

India is a fantastic country, not quite like what I initially perceived it to be. The people are genuine and the country itself is a true wonder. My advice to anyone traveling there is to absorb as much as he/she/they can. India is rich with culture and history, full of diversity. Visiting places such as the Taj Mahal brings a totally different feeling, the atmosphere is spectacular. India is a beautiful country and so are its people.
