About Program

Share a smile with the children of Patiala School for Deaf and Patiala School for Blind while volunteering for our "Colors of Life" program. Spend time with about 200 children, from poor families will be an experience that your will never forget.

The non-governmental Society for Welfare of the Handicapped manages Patiala Schools, founded in 1967. Today after 46 years, Patiala has become one of the best schools as it provides residential education to more than 190 deaf and blind boys and girls.

Be a part of this project and it will be an experience to cherish all your life!

Consider your impact: Volunteering abroad can be a rewarding experience for both volunteers and local communities, and at Go Overseas, we believe all volunteers should have the resources to make informed decisions about the type of volunteer project they want to partake in. However, despite best intentions, some organizations offering placements in orphanages may unknowingly place children in danger. You can read about the potential dangers of orphanage volunteering here.
